Cream blush, the notoriously fickle sister of the blush world so difficult to get right but worth the extra hassle if you enjoy a naturally glowing flush of colour. Well let me take the inconvenience out of trying several cream blush formulations and point you in the direction of the new Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Blush Balms. Three shades of dewy, easy to apply and wear blushes that last the pace - trust me when I say you don't want to miss out on this limited edition launch.
The Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Blush Balms are pretty dinky in size and come presented in small, round chrome pots that are lightweight yet large enough to house the majority of blush brushes should you choose to use one with ease. Personally I find the soft, silken texture works best applied with fingertips as the heat of the finger pads helps to melt/blend out the blush. Application aside the size is great for travel and day to day applications as it can be popped into even the smallest of bags with ease.
Although limited edition the Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Blush Balms come in three shades, all of which are fairly neutral and universally flattering: Natural - a dusky, cool toned rose brown, Posy - a medium toned, yellow tinged pink and Papaya - a bright, yellow based coral. I have the shade Natural which is the perfect everyday blush for light to medium skin tones that both brightens and defines the face. Although in no way identical if you are a fan of Benefit Dallas Powder then this is a shade I'd imagine you would want to try out - it gives the same naturally flushed, outdoor-sy glow i.e an almost sun burnt come sun kissed look. I realise on paper this doesn't read as well as it applies in person.
I'm sure the majority of us have experienced some dud cream blushes in our time? Be it a blush that is so creamy that it veers oily or those cream blushes that look more shiny than dewy on the skin. Yep been there, done that. What sets Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Blush Balms aside from other cream blushes is the texture - a soft, velveteen cream that glides on to the skin delivering a healthy does of pigment, settles to a soft slightly dewy powder finish and isn't troubled by oily skin. The best part? It not only wears for up to 8 hours with ease but it helps to soften the appearance of enlarged pores too, all without the need for a skin smoothing primer. The finish of the Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Blush Balms is so natural that you can apply in layers should you wish to intensify the colour pay off without it ever appearing heavy nor greasy, nor sliding off the face. As an added bonus the Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Blush Balms can double up as semi matte lip colours should you wish - who doesn't love multi-purpose products?

My fave is to use a regular lipstick as blush! Think it gives the skin the most stunning glow, and I find that it almost always blends out like a dream with a smaller stipple brush. I'm telling you - Makeup Stores "Crown" - a sheer peachy pink with a slight goldshimmer, makes my cheeks real pretty.

I really like the sound of these. The Natural shade looks like a perfect everyday pink. I may be heading to a Bare Minerals counter soon.

I love the look of these. Cream Blush is my favourite for summer days when I opt for no foundation, so easy to blend out and so easy to just use your fingers.

I love these type of products but as you said - it's so hard to find one that actually works well ;) I surely give these a try, but maybe you know some drugstore dupes? I'm all for affordable makeup so I'm always searching for drugstore equivalents ;)
