V.E Day with Elizabeth Arden

Today is V.E Day (Victory Day within Europe), this year marks 70 years since the end of the second world war in Europe. To commemorate the occasion The British Legion are asking the nation to kiss a loved one of any kind and share it online.

V.E Day with Elizabeth Arden

Along with this campaign Elizabeth Arden are offering 1940's (10th of April - 10th of May) make over's on counter in exchange for donations. This is as well as donating £5 from the sale of all Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturising Lipsticks (£22 each, sold between the 10th of April and the 10th of May. To tap into the 1940's vibe, I fully recommend Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturising Lipstick Matte Finish Lipstick in Bold Red. A deep, vintage inspired red that is both matte yet comfortable and moisturising. It looks great on just about everyone and may just be your ideal red hue.

V.E Day with Elizabeth Arden

As a tid bit (who doesn't enjoy a little fun fact now and then?) - Elizabeth Arden has long supported women throughout their war efforts, going as far as creating a red lipstick for female Marines to wear as part of their standard issue uniform during World War II. Elizabeth Arden did this as she recognised the call for women to hold on to the normalcy of their beauty regime, to hold their stand and confidence, making their mark in a time of need.

If you want to join in today with The British Legion campaign the hashtag is #KissForVEDay and the twitter usernames are: @PoppyLegion and @ElizabethArdenUK.
