A few days ago we booked the annual family holiday to our now customary haunt - Orlando, Florida and I couldn't be more excited. Despite frequenting almost every year and being in my twenties, it is still one of those most magical places I've been lucky enough to visit - Disneyland aside of course. As I do any time I am due to visit the US I sit down and list the beauty products I would like to purchase once I touch down, if you are nosey (aren't we all?) or simply looking for a little inspiration then read on...
1, I realise that Make Up For Ever has reached the UK via Debenhams, the physical counter is in London I'll have to wait until I reach Florida to stock up on old favourites and of course try out new products. Other than re-stocking on foundation and a tube or two of Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara I have nothing else on my last as of yet, do feel free to enable me. You can shop the entire Make Up For Ever collection here - link.
2, I swear by Sephora's own brand cosmetic line - I can't get enough of Sephora Cream Lip Stain and the Sephora Luster Matte Long Wear Lip Colors. Easily some of the best matte liquid lipsticks I have ever tested and so well priced, I will be re-stocking on my favourite shades and trying out a few new to boot. Last year I tested the Sephora Microsmooth Baked Lumizers in-store but for some reason I decided against purchasing them, it is a move that still haunts my make-up dreams - this year I'll be purchasing both shades for sure. Any other Sephora own brand recommendations are more than welcomed!
3, While in Sephora I fully plan on taking advantage of having Too Faced Cosmetics at my disposal, topping my list is Too Faced Cocoa Contour Kit, Too Faced Natural Matte Eye Palette and the Too Faced Selfie Powder Kit. I'm also hoping that Too Faced will also launch a Christmas kit, much like they have the previous two years.
4, I am keen to trial Peter Thomas Roth masks, I've heard nothing but great things about the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask - it is said to not only scrub and hydrate as well as brighten in one quick step. The other Peter Thomas Roth mask that is calling my name is the Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask, a mask that de-congests, moisturises and helps control excess oil - consider me sold.
5, I have the longest list of Anastasia Beverly Hills items that I can not wait to purchase, namely Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks most notably the shade Pure Hollywood. I will most likely purchase more than one shade but this is shade that I won't rest until I own. I'm also hoping that Jeffree Star Cosmetics and Make Up Geek Cosmetics will ship to my hotel as they are both brands I am keen to try out at some point.
6, Lastly no visit to the US is complete without a trip to Bath and Body Works, the candles are incredible - clean burning, well priced, all with incredible fragrances. I can not recommend them enough, my personal favourite scents are Leaves and Georgia Peach. I'm hopeful that both the Autumn and Christmas collections will be in-store by the time arrive.
I am sure it goes without saying that I will be stopping by the Drugstores such as CVS and Walgreen's too but more on that later...

I wish that Sephora came to the UK. I love the shopping list, I am a big fan of Too Faced products and although you can purchase them in the UK there are no stores near me with a Too Faced counter. I also love the sound of the Peter Thomas masks. I am also dying to go to Bath & Body works, maybe one day when I go to America.

You're so lucky! I would LOOOVE to visit America or even Britain, especially because of the makeup. I'm from Slovenia and it's really hard to get hands on quality makeup, even for Mac, I need to travel to Trieste in Italy, which is our neighbour country. I'm so jealous! :D

I so wish we had a Sephora store in the UK, I know we can order online but I'd love to visit a store. I also constantly browse the online shop, the luminizer looks gorgeous.

Great picks! I'm actually going back yet again in a couple of weeks (after being there only a couple of months ago), & shall let you know if I spot anything unmissable! Curses of falling for someone who lives 4000 miles away ;)

You can get the Too Faced natural matte palette on amazon shipped from the US to the UK which is what I've done. Don't know how much the taxes will cost yet though - probably around £6 :) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm lusting after the Anastasia liquid lipsticks so bad! I wish they were available over here!

Try going to a Walmart, Kmart , or Target when you come to the US. They all have a few isles of make up products that are the same as CVS or Walgreens, but at a cheaper price. All 3 stores sell a little bit of everything--clothes, shoes, make up, jewelry, food etc. Just about anything you need, you can find at those stores.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to go to Sephora and Bath and Body Works! So jealous xx
