This month The Body Shop expand their Vitamin C Skin Care collection to include two new glow inducing products: The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser and The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer. Both have been formulated to pep up tired, dull skin and create a lit from within glow without the need for shimmer or glitter particles. I couldn't think of two more helpful skin care additions for the upcoming Summer season.
If you are a fan of Origins GinZing Moisturiser and perhaps find it a little pricey and/or require a lighter, gel like texture then The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser should be your next purchase. This lightweight gel, water based moisturiser gently hydrates skin - perfect for oily to normal skin and perhaps dry complexions if teamed with a serum, all the while clarifying and aiding a natural glow to the face. The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser not only cools and calms the skin but it absorbs immediately (it can feel a little tacky for a few seconds but that does disappear) making it the perfect day wear choice - it also does not interfere with the texture or finish of any make-up applied on top but should not be used in place of a primer (that is of course if you rely on one). It leaves my skin feeling plump, nourished and looking fresh - great if you are lacking in sleep. In terms of scent it may surprise you to learn that it rings more aquatic than zesty orange - rest assure the fragrance is gentle and not at all overwhelming. The only downside is that this does not contain an SPF. You can find The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser here for £16/50ml - link.
My favourite item within the new launches has to be the The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer, don't be put off by the bright peach appearance this wonder cream both moisturises and colour corrects the complexion. As you may know peach colour correcting products have long been called upon to erase any signs of dullness and in some case dark circles - this tinted moisturiser come primer does all of this and more. I have read reviews from those with fair skin stating that this almost bronzes the skin - I can't say that to be true in my case, rather it somewhat brightens and eradicates any signs of dull skin. I find The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer to gently moisturise my skin (I wouldn't use it in place of a moisturiser, rather it is more comparable to a primer), brighten, colour correct and to some extent leave the skin primed. Unlike the above The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser this has a somewhat soft matte finish (I think it would withstand even tropical temperatures) that can help prolong make-up wear. On the other hand it can be used as a stand alone product to brighten and nourish in one quick step. Think of it as an orange tinged BB Cream (minus the SPF protection) that will suit all complexion tones, it is a clever and easy way to add create a radiant complexion without calling upon shimmer based highlighting products. I am smitten. You can find The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer here for £14/25ml - link.
The Body Shop have just made creating a glowing, youthful yet natural appearing complexion that little easier - Summer skin starts here.

I love the Ginzing range to pieces but my bank card does cry a little at the thought of repurchasing, so I'm really excited about this! The Body Shop's skincare is always top notch so will be keeping an eye out for these x

Do you know if either of these products contain orange/neroli essential oils? Those make the skin photo-sensitive, so you will definitely need to use SPF on top if that's the case, especially in the summer!

Oh I love the sound of the moisturiser! Light aquatic smelling products for summer? Yes please! (Although I'm disappointed to learn it smells more aquatic than orange, as orange is enticing for summer too).
