Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque

For the longest time Aesop as a brand topped my to try list, as there is nowhere (or at least to the best of my knowledge) in Glasgow that I can try before I buy - I held off until I visited London a few weeks ago. When you are spending close to £30 (Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque is £27) on one item of skin care, you want to be able to ask questions and have a quick feel for the product, before handing over the cash. The good news is that if you have a Aesop counter or store local the staff are wonderfully helpful and a fountain of wisdom on each product; no gimmicks just clear advice on what will work best for you and Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque was one of my recommendations.

Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque

Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Mask is a cleansing mask but a gentle one at that, it has been formulated to use on even sensitised skin to deeply cleanse, brighten and calm in one quick step. As Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque is clay based (Kaolin Clay no less, to enhance blood circulation and reduce excess sebum) it not only draws impurities from the pores - perfect for city living and of course any form of congested skin. Most clay based facial masks do this so what makes Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque special and worthy of the hefty price tag? The core ingredients - Aloe Vera to soothe and calm stressed out skin. There is also Rosehip to restore, repair (great for sun damage) brighten and protect the complexion and of course Parsley Seed renowned for both its healing and antibacterial properties - ideal for those like myself who suffer from blemishes.

Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque

In the past certain mud based masks have only aggravated my stressed out skin - red rashes, additional blemishes and burning sensations have all happened at least once. This is not the case with Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque, it does all it says and more - along with the cleansing and soothing element (it eliminates any itching or skin tightness), I find it dries out existing blemishes thus aiding the healing process. From the first use you can not only feel it work but see visible results - brighter skin, clearer pores and less inflamed skin. Admittedly it can be a touch on the drying side, ideal if like myself you have oily skin but perhaps not what someone with a drier complexion will be hoping for. As an added bonus it is a dream not only to apply but also remove - no annoying flakes of product as it dries out and is easily removed using a wet flannel. It is suggested that you use the Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Masque at least once a week - if I lived in the city then I would be tempted to follow said instructions but for me it is a when and as if treatment; I like having it on call for skin freak outs and of course for the odd deeper than normal cleanse. However you use it I imagine that most (especially oily and combination skin types) will not be disappointed with the results.

A huge thumbs up from me!
