Today sees the launch of No7 Early Defence Skincare, a range specifically designed for those who want to prevent rather than cure the visible signs of ageing. Nothing new there I hear you say, well actually yes it is! No7 Early Defence Skincare has been formulated for those in the age bracket of 20-35. As most anti-ageing products are aimed at those over 35 those with younger complexions may feel that the technology or texture of such lotions and potions are too heavy for their skin type - I know that I do. I also worry that if I use such intense anti-ageing in my twenties that when I do reach my thirties that my skin will be used to strong anti-ageing technology will work? Most likely not but I do enjoy lighter textures coupled with anti-ageing benefits both of which No7 Early Defence Skincare offers.
Obviously I have yet to thoroughly try the No7 Early Defence Skincare Collection but I can vouch that the textures are nothing short of wonderful: No7 Early Defence Day Cream (£19.50) not only contains an SPF 15 to protect from the harmful UVA rays but also Lipopeptides and Vitamin A help reduce the appearance of fine lines, all within a thick yet oddly lightweight cream texture that is quickly absorbed. For night use we have No7 Early Defence Night Cream (£19.50) which is a light, gel like substance that again contains both Lipopeptides and Vitamin A. The idea is that by using both the skin is not only protected from environmental damage and will hopefully look younger for longer -isn't that always the hope? In my opinion any skin care range worth its salt has to include an eye treatment and the Boots No7 Early Defence Eye Cream does not disappoint. Not only does this light, silky lotion quickly absorb but it contains vitamin C to reduce dark circles and puffiness, along with the Lipopeptides and Vitamin A line up to protect the skin. This is suitable for both day and night use - a snip at £13.50.
Like I said I am currently testing out all three products within the No7 Early Defence Skincare range but I can vouch that they are gentle, quick to absorb, non-greasy and suitable for use before make-up. I will update with a full review in a month or so!

Can't wait to hear the final results! Everything sounds promising.
ReplyDeleteThis range sounds interesting, I know No7's Protect and Perfect range is quite popular so it would be great if this preventative skincare worked a treat, I can't wait to read the full review! :)

Oh, excited!! I'm 31 and just realised I need to start paying attention to wrinkles and I've been on the look out for an eye cream. I think I'll pop into store soon and have a look at these.

This sounds like just what I've been searching for! Something to start to prevent ageing without being really thick which isn't what I need. Looking forward to finding out how you get on with it!
