Nailbox Monthly Subscription UK

Admittedly I am not the biggest nail polish fan out there, it takes a lot for me to get excited about a nail launch of any kind. Half of my problem is a lack of skill - I can not paint my nails to save myself and the other is I lack patience. I am a when utterly necessary manicure girl. That's not to say I don't recognise a great concept when I see one, which leads me to Nailbox - the UK's first and to my knowledge only nail polish monthly subscription plan.

I know what you are thinking, I bet it is dud shades or worse polishes that have been long discontinued? Nope, that couldn't be further from the truth. Inside the April box there was four full sized and current polishes which you can purchase for no less than £7 a bottle on the UK highstreet or online. I also like that there is a theme to the box - the April box channels Spring with three pastel hues and one bright pop of pink. The polishes are as follows:

OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips Nail Lacquer (rrp £8-£11) - A bright, fuchsia pink that is will be a great Summer shade and perfect for a pedicure. I adore OPI formula's so I was more than happy to receive this. As the box costs £15 I was a little shocked to see a full sized bottle of OPI given the recommended retail price!

China Glaze Peachy Keen Nail Lacquer (rrp £4-£8) - A light, creamy orange shade that will pop with a tan yet look equally great on pale complexions. If you find peach nail polish tricky to pull off then this may be the shade you have been looking for.

Revlon Buttercup Colorstay Nail Enamel (£7.99) - Oddly this is a shade I have been toying with purchasing each time I pass my local stand in Superdrug. A pretty yet pale lemon shade that will look great on everyone not to mention the Revlon Colorstay formulation is one of the best gel like polishes I have tried in a long while.

Essie Muchi Muchi Nail Lacquer (£7.99) - A cult favourite amongst bloggers and celebrities alike, this pale pink shade is subtle yet creates a groomed look  - hence the huge appeal. I have owned this in the past and never quite gave it the love it deserves, time to remedy that.

Nailbox has done something that other services have failed to, rekindled my love affair with polish. I can not honestly tell you the last time I had the urge to sit down and paint my nails - now I can't wait to finish up for the day and treat myself to an at home manicure.

You can subscribe to and read more about Nailbox here - link. Each box is limited to 100, so you do have to be quick - the good news is that it costs £15 and that includes delivery.
