It is very seldom that I sit down and type up a review after just one use, then again some products are so fantastic that sometimes one use is all it takes. Like most, the sudden clear and dare I say it sunny weather has me day dreaming on the yet to arrive Summer and all that comes with it - sandals, the beach and hopefully a nice holiday or two. Again like most I have somewhat neglected my feet over the last few months with the main problem being they are a little dried out and dare I say it rough. Enter Lush Volcano Foot Mask...
"When you’re on your feet all day, this is the perfect pick-me-up. The cooling and invigorating mask contains powerful deodorising ingredients and brightening papaya, while the pumice means it also doubles up as a foot scrub. Ideal for warming wintry feet, or for getting summer sandals-ready. Smear this clay-like mask containing kaolin on soles and heels, cover with a plastic bag, and put your feet up for 20 minutes."
I won't sugar coat it, this isn't the best smelling Lush product I have tried - it is a little pungent and on the spicy side, totally bearable but not one of Lush's better smelling products. Then there is the messy element - if you think popping a face mask on you face is a sloppy affair wait until you have tried this. The thick, gritty and somewhat chunky (I think the orange chunks are either papaya or tomato) takes a little patience to apply as it does not smooth on easily. The good news is that as you are applying and rubbing into the skin, you are gently exfoliating not to mention it is somewhat cooling and refreshing. Once you finally get the cumbersome mix onto your feet and pop some plastic bags on, you can all but feel the Lush Volcano Foot Mask work its magic; it tingles, cools and generally feels pleasant. I wish I could say washing it off was as enjoyable but bear with me (and it) the results are more than worth it!
Before rinsing your feet clean, thoroughly rub the mask into the skin somewhat scrubbing as you go - this will really polish your tootsies leaving them softer than ever! The Lush Volcano Foot Mask is not one I'd recommend soaking off - you will be there all day as it seems to stick to the feet. Rather I find blasting it off under the shower and using a flannel was the easiest method - the flannel also added some extra exfoliation! Once all that work is over I promise it will be worth it, get ready to chuckle but I could swear my feet had a certain glowing quality last night. I have had pedicures, full body scrubs and just about every spa treatment going and never have my feet looked or felt so good. They are soft all over, free from dead skin and generally feel fantastic. Yes it is messy to use but if you want baby soft skin on perhaps the most neglected area of your body, the Lush Volcano Foot Mask is the way to go. I am obsessed and already looking forward to the next use.

Sounds good! I really want to start trying more Lush products - I tend to just gravitate towards the bath bombs when I'm in there!

Yeah the orange bits in it are pieces of tomato. I bought this for my Mum and the lovely lady in Lush said that the tomato has enzymes in it that eat away at dead skin..lovely aha but at least it works! Xx

I bet sitting with a pair of plastic bags on your feet is such a sexy look! It does sound messy but the results sound worth it and in the summer when you really need to get your feet out something like this is needed x
