Enjoying Lately

I forgot to post last weeks selection of my favourite products, so this week I have combined all my picks from the last week or two in one bumper post. Bank cards at the ready...

Enjoying Lately

At a Lush skin care lesson I was taught that there is few natural ingredients or oils that repair the skin quite like Rosehip Oil. I have been slathering it on daily and my skin seems to rather enjoy it. Yes it is quite greasy but it has not irritated my skin in the slightest, rather my complexion looks fresh, acne scarring is gently being reduced and I have a glow. I'm sure there are several options out there when it comes to Rosehip products but I rely on Trilogy Rosehip Oil which you can find at Debenhams for less than £15 - link.

I've recently fell back in love with Clinique Even Better Dark Circles Corrector (£27 via Debenhams)- it soothes, cools, hyrdrates and brightens the under eye in one quick step. Great if like myself you are prone to dark circles and a netflix binge or two...who needs sleep anyway?

I'm still thoroughly enjoying nude lips especially shades that have a hint of pink, most days it has been a quick slick of Pixi Shea Lip Balm in Honey Nectar (£8 via Feel Unique). This deep nude not only nourishes my lips but the colour really perks up my complexion with next to no work. The only downside is that it doesn't stay on my lips for any length of time, then again what tinted lip balm does? In a similar vain but slightly more long wearing I have been reaching for Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Honeymoon (£15.75 exclusive to John Lewis). This is a light bronze come pink that has been created for bridal wear but is a great everyday nude option - it is fairly sheer but moisturising and utterly flattering, well worth seeking out.

If you have yet to try the new Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes then do it soon, hailed as dupes for the more expensive Hourglass blushes these are ideal for a touch of luxury on a budget. My personal favourite has to be Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Nude Mauve (£8.99 via Boots -link) - a flattering, slightly cool toned mauve bronze that brightens and sculpts my complexion. It goes with everything and doesn't emphasis my enlarged pores - what is not to like. I have also been reaching for my beloved Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy, especially when the sun is out. The bright coral orange tones are ideal for teaming with a tan and will be a summer staple for years to come.

As much as I feel like the formulation of Chanel nail polishes could be greatly improved, there will always be room in my life for Chanel Les Vernis Nail Colour in Secret. A light, sheer milky nude that gives the illusion of perfectly manicured nails with next to no effort. You can find it for £16.20 via Debenhams - link.

With the sudden bout of sunshine (yes even in Scotland) I have been craving lighter, fruity and dare I say it slightly aquatic fragrances. Tomorrow sees the launch of D&G Light Blue Salina (pre-order here) which is a limited edition version of the best selling D&G Light Blue Eau de Toilette. It is refreshing, easy to wear and uplifting - perfect for both the Spring and Summer. A new and firm favourite.

Lastly a little shout out to Korres Fig Body Butter, this is a creamy and utterly luxurious body lotion that smells incredible. Not only does it hydrate the skin wonderfully but the fragrance is something to stop and take notice of. Fruity, punchy yet grown up - if you enjoy fig scents this is one to seek out ASAP! Find it here for £12.50 - link.
