Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact £27 via Debenhams

As always the annual Clarins Summer Bronzing Powder is a show stopper - featuring four shades of bronze each of which have been delicately embossed with an almost Aztec design. The beauty of the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact is that you can sweep all four shades together to create a custom, warm bronze hue or use all four separately. Very few bronzers suit so many complexions due to the tone but as this offers up four varying hues of brown, there should be a shade for almost everyone. For some the palest shade will be enough to warm and sculpt the face, for others this could either be a setting power or highlighting option. The shade up makes a great blush on medium skin tones and the following shade a lovely contour. Really the world is your oyster with this palette, especially as all four shade options are matte. Much like you would expect the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact is beautifully pigmented, easy to blend, long wearing and a dream to apply. At £27 this is a Summer staple you don't want to miss out on!

Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadows in 01 Aquatic Rose & 03 Aquatic Grey £17.10 each via Debenahms

I am a huge fan of Clarins Ombre Matte Eyeshadows, the cream to powder formulation is second to none. I kid you not when I say that they are beyond pigmented; so much so that if you are heavy handed wipe your brush off before applying, the colour pay off is that intense. My above swatches come from one teeny, tiny swipe of the eyeshadow. Despite the colour intensity the creamy texture makes it a dream to blend out, a good fluffy blending brush and you have a soft, shimmering finish that is incredibly flattering on the eyes. It doesn't cake or settle into the natural eye folds (or lines) nor does it crease. I have really oily lids and I can easily achieve around 8 hours of wear without a primer, with a primer you are talking a good 10 hours at least. You can also prolong wear by applying powder eyeshadow on top - unlike some cream formulas this allows you to blend out powders with ease - no flaking, creasing or bobbling off. In my opinion this is one of the best shimmer based eyeshadows, they look wonderful on all skin tones, types and ages - brightening yet flattering at the same time, every make-up bag should own at least one shade! What better place to start than with one of the three new hues. I was kindly gifted two shades to trial: 01 Aquatic Rose and 03 Aquatic Grey, for those on look out for a pop of colour there is also 02 Aquatic Green. My personal favourite has to be 01 Aquatic Rose - a light, almost rose gold pink that works well as a solo shade or as a neutral base. Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadow in 03 Aquatic Grey is an instant smoky eye in a jar, simply dab on, blend out and go. In terms of dupes I'd liken the Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadows to the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadows.

Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases in 04 Apricot and 05 Golden Bronze £23.85 each via Debenhams

Lastly we have a safe, quick and easy way to not only warm the complexion but to also add a hint of radiance. Fans of Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases may be glad to see the arrival of two new bronze shades.Unlike a typical radiance boosting product this has been designed to even out the skin tone, give the appearance of blurred pores and of course a healthy glow to the skin. The texture of the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases are creamy yet lightweight - they instantly absorb into the skin without adding extra moisture to the skin nor are they drying. If you are having a good skin day this would be perfect for just evening out the skin tone and adding a subtle natural glow but due to the texture they are wonderful as a primer. That's not all you can also mix a little in with your foundation for a more dewy finish, use as you would a typical highlighter and if you are feeling fancy rub a little on exposed skin (I'm looking at you legs). The new bronze shades offer a little more diversity than the original options as you can use them as a liquid bronzer to warm as well as sculpting. Clarins realise that one shade does not suit all so there is: 04 Apricot, a light peach toned bronze for lighter complexions and 05 Golden Bronze, a deeper shimmer, golden bronze hue that is intended for medium to deep complexions. Oh and it gets better all three shades feature Clarins Anti-Pollution technology - it acts as a barrier to prevent pollution from affecting your skin.

Such a beautiful, Summer ready collection - wouldn't you agree?
