Bobbi Brown Calypso Cheek Palette £34 via John Lewis
Within this collection there are two blush trios: Calypso and Pink, I of course have Calypso a medley of coral, rose gold and pink blushes. The Bobbi Brown Calypso palette offers it all: a pretty but bright coral pink matte blush in the form of Pretty Coral - this would look great both on tanned and light complexions; a highlight come blush in Calypso which is not worlds apart from NARS Orgasm blush - at best it is a smidgen lighter and more shimmer based. The palette is completed with Bobbi Brown Coral Sugar blush, a light but still bright pink that again is perfect for bronzed complexions. It is a suit all, do all palette - for travel I would take a matte bronzer and call it a day. As to be expected each powder blush is beautifully formulated - soft to the touch with minimal fall out, easy to blend, long wearing, pigmented and despite being matte not at all chalky. The good news is that all three shades within the palette are also available for purchase individually.
Bobbi Brown Hot Art Sticks £19.50 each via John Lewis
I have spoken about my love for the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks in the past, I truly do believe that everyone should at least try one at their local counter - true willpower is not purchasing one in every shade! If you are not familiar with the concept, the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks are chunky lip pencils which can be used as a lip liner, an all over lip colour or both. Unlike your typical lip liner they are not at all drying despite being matte, rather the creamy formula somehow manages to stay in place, define yet moisturise at the same time - to try is to love. Within the Bobbi Brown Hot Collection there is three shades to chose from: Hot Pink, Hot Berry, Hot Orange - I have the latter two. Bobbi Brown Hot Berry is a beautiful, almost neon raspberry toned pink - it has a slight blue tone which only adds to the dimension of the shade. It is bold, bright and not for the faint hearted - I like to think of it as the grown up sister to MAC Candy Yum Yum Lipstick. My personal favourite from the trio has to be Bobbi Brown Hot Orange - not quite orange, not quite red but 100% sizzling! I hate to continuously draw MAC lipstick comparisons but this is very similar to MAC Lady Danger only less drying and easier to apply.
Bobbi Brown Hot Sheer Lip Colors £19.50 each via John Lewis
Perhaps matte lip shades aren't really your thing, maybe you prefer lighter and sheerer lip colours? Bobbi Brown also have you covered, not only is there bright shades such as Pink and Orange (photographed above) but 14 other hues to choose from - all of which are not limited edition. The beauty of the Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Colors is that they can be quickly applied for a gentle wash of nourishing colour, or they can be applied in layers for a brighter and all together glossy finish. Unlike matte formulations the Sheer Lip Colors are hydrating much like a lip balm, comfortable to wear and offer a natural and care free lip tint option, be it for the warm weather or everyday use.
Most of the products (sheer lip colors aside) within the Bobbi Brown Hot Collection are limited edition. I can not recommend the blush palette or the new shades of Bobbi Brown Hot Art Sticks enough - the perfect summer staples in my opinion.
