April in Beauty Sample Boxes

It's been a while since I posted about any beauty sample box so today I have gathered up three of the best from the month of April to share in one large-ish post. I think comparison can be a wonderful thing when it comes to beauty services, as they all cost a similar amount of money it is interesting to see what you can get for you money per company.

First up we have the Cohorted Beauty Box which I do deem to be brilliant value at £19.99 considering the content value. Sadly the Cohorted Beauty Boxes are very limited in numbers with only around 300 boxes been up for grabs each month, the pre-sale boxes also sell out immediately. If you are lucky enough to get your mitts on a box I doubt you will be disappointed as it is not only filled to the brim with full sized products but from well known and premium brands. In the April box we have a full sized Too Faced Exotic Color Eye Shadow in Copper Peony (£15.00), which is a great dupe for MAC Amber Lights Eyeshadow, there is also a Sleek Precious Metals Highlighter Palette (£9.99) which contains both powder and cream formulations, a Bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment (£45.00) and an Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (£5) which may only be a sample size but it will more than offer a good few weeks of application. The downside is true to that of many beauty subscription plans, no real consideration to the individuals skin tone is taken into consideration, My tub of  Bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment came in Light which is not a good colour match - I guess this the gamble you take. All things considered the Cohorted Beauty Box is great value for money.

Birchbox and Tatler have teamed up for a one off collaboration to offer subscribers a selection of "The Best of British" products all of which are worth over £60. Not only is the box beautiful but the contents live up to expectations with a full sized Ciate nail polish and Percy & Reed London Big, Bold & Beautiful Dry Instant Volumising Spray. The rest of the goodies come in deluxe sample form: Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Cream, Bamford Geranium Hand and Body Wash, Dr Jackson’s Natural Products Face Oil 03 and lastly Liz Earle Beauty Co Cleanse and Polish, complete with a Muslin Cloth. A lovely box indeed but perhaps a little on the pricey side at £25! You can pick yours up here should you wish - link.

I have already posted about Wax Box in full here - link but wanted to flag up the subscription plan again for all those who may have missed such post. Essentially a lot like your traditional beauty sample box, Wax Box offers a surprise package of home scented goods direct to your door for £10. Inside you get a whole medley of wax tarts (and sometime small candles) from brands you may or may not be familiar with. In all honesty it probably is my favourite subscription plan of the moment, then again I think we all know I do enjoy home fragrancing more than the average woman.

I know sample boxes aren't for everyone but hopefully above shows there is more to this world than perfume vials?
