As you may know this coming Friday is Red Nose Day, also known as Comic Relief Day in which money is raised through various methods for worthy charities world wide. This year Comic Relief and Rimmel have joined forces to create Rimmel Red Nose Red by Kate Moss Lipstick. A bright yet wearable red lipstick that costs £5.49 (£1.67 from each lipstick goes to Comic Relief) that is of course fronted by Kate Moss. If anyone can make me lust after a lipstick it is Kate Moss. I don't even feel bad about purchasing a shade I will seldom wear as money is going to charity.
I have tried a few shades from the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick line and the formulation is pretty much the same for each shade. They each have a sweet candy type scent that you'll either love or loathe,
once applied the scent is undetectable so it suitable for even those with sensitive noses. The Kate Moss lipsticks are neither dry nor moisturising, somewhere in-between but entirely comfortable to wear. I find they glide on with ease and provide even opaque coverage, the finish has a slight sheen which gives the illusion of plumper lips. The wear time does depend on how you treat your lips throughout the day but on average we are looking at around 3 hours per application.
Rimmel Red Nose Red by Kate Moss Lipstick is a bright, blue toned red that is fairly universal. No it is not unique and could be easily duped but then again I can say that for most red lipsticks. If you are looking for a red lipstick that will suit all occasions and most skin tones, while doing your bit for charity look no further. As a side note the Rimmel Red Nose Red by Kate Moss Lipstick does have special packaging too - not that I am ever swayed by packaging ha!
I love Red Nose Day! Agree the colour isn't anything "new" but hey it's for a good cause right! x
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice shade and I do like red lipsticks and the packaging is nice.

At least it has a good cause attached to its name. The color is pretty, but not extraordinary.

Oh, that is a beautiful red! Too intense for me, I think, but it would look amazing on fairer skintones.

The rimmel lipsticks are really good so in this case the generic colour is welcome, especially at the price! I can imagine they will sell out very quickly which will be great for the charity. Well Done Rimmel!!!!
