So after a weekend of testing I can finally voice my full opinion on Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Gel and determine that the scent is not at all for me. Oddly I do like the fragrance of the Lush Yummy Mummy Body Conditioner but that is a story for another time!
"Lovely in lilac, this super-scrummy, sweet and floral shower gel is filled with lustre for a touch of glamour."
Much like I have said before this smells a little like chocolate yet fruity at the same - on paper this sounds perfect and ideal for the occasion it has been designed to celebrate. Combined with water Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Gel does become a little more floral and powdery - my younger sister says it definitely reminds her of lilac flowers. Me? Not so much. On the plus side it is a completely original fragrance, not to musky and one of the few products I would purchase for my grandmother. As the smallest bottle does cost under £5 this would make a lovely small gift for Mothering Sunday.
As a side note much like all Lush Shower Gels this not only cleanses and fragrances the skin but does so without being drying in any way. For all those light packers or who like to get plenty of bang for their buck this can also double up as a bubble bath and shampoo on occasion. Yes this particular shower gel contains lustre but really it is just a novelty - there is no glitter nor does said lustre stay on the skin. when you rinse clean it quickly disappears.

This sounds lovely! I love Lush shower gels as they're not at all drying. I've just used up the rest of Snow Fairy, so i'm tempted to treat myself (and my mum!) to this one.

The scent sounds a bit strange to me! And I'm not usually a huge fan of lilac flowers either...think I'd give this a smell in store if I was browsing but probably end up giving it a miss!

This sounds lovely! I also like the Lush shower gels. I definitely prefer them over their soaps which seem to leave a 'squeaky clean' feeling which I don't quite enjoy.. at least the ones I've tried have! xo Jess

This sounds really nice, for some reason I was initially put off by the colour as it looks a bit granny-ish, and I'd got visions of smelling like an old lady after using it, but I think I'm going to pick it up now after reading your review. I love Lush's shower gels anyway, but trying to find a scent that I like can be a challenge sometimes! Still working my way through a stockpile of Snow Fairy.

I've heard a lot of good and bad things about this shower gel. Some people say it's like strawberries and some say it's like Parma Violets but when I smelt it I really couldn't put my finger on what it was. :S
ReplyDeleteI might pick it up to try, but I'll have to see...
Great review! :D

I'm a little tempted into giving this a go but the colour alone is making me think of old ladies. That's a new one.
