Ikea Sinnlig Candles

I love Ikea, I really do - not so much the one way system, in which you have to see every item before checking out but if there is a home ware bargain to be had Ikea is the place to be. Truthfully I only visit once or twice a year and purchase everything I need in one swoop, I could be tempted to run the Ikea gauntlet more frequently for the candles. Well priced, fairly pleasing on the eye, beautiful scents and a decent scent throw - what is not to like?

Ikea Sinnlig Candles

In the past I bought one or two of the Ikea Sinnlig Candles in Vanilla on a whim, burned them and swiftly forgot they existed. On Sunday I restocked and along with a Vanilla or two I purchased a good few scents to try out. I am a little stingy and dare I say bizarre when it comes to my candles - I only burn my super expensive ones as a treat and tend to light cheap and cheerful ones 99.9% of the time. Diptyque, Jo Malone et al are reserved for the weekend or when a little pampering is in order. At just 95p (there is also larger sizes for around £2.50 a candle) each I can scatter these candles all around the house without feeling too guilty about wasting money.

In the end I purchased five scents in choice as that was all my local Ikea had in stock, well that is a fib they did also have the Lilac fragrance but it was a little too floral and dated for my personal taste. The others are nothing short of lovely: Vanilla Pleasure - a warm yet soft and creamy vanilla, not overly synthetic, Tangerine Sunshine - a zesty citrus scent not worlds apart from The Body Shop scent of the same name, Calming Spa - is quite a masculine, almost woody fragrance, Sweet Berries - is a sweet, sugary blend of raspberry and strawberry and lastly we have Crisp Apple which reminds me a lot of Granny Smith Apples.

Admittedly they are not the strongest candles out there and do have a tendency to tunnel but they do scent a room rather nicely and are as cheap as chips, so I can't complain!
