As you may have noticed I have ditched the daily beauty reports in favour of real images. I think the benefit of doing so allows you to see how said beauty products really look and give you a feel if you would be interested in reading a full review or not. At least that is my reasoning and I hope it makes as much sense on paper as it does in my head ha! I should also mention that I will not be doing this for every collection just the large and super exciting launches. Without further ado here is a sneak peek at Dolce and Gabbana - Spring 2015...
Spring 2015 seems to be featuring a lot of bright, almost primary coloured nail polishes - easy to wear, suit all and most importantly fun. D&G Beauty have four bright shades to choose from: Angel, a bright cobalt blue, Bouganville which is a bright pink, Grass - a mid toned green and lastly Sole - a bright, non-gaudy yellow.
There is also two Dolce and Gabbana Classic Cream Lipsticks to choose from or collect - one a nude but very wearable hue for most light to mid toned complexions in the form of Sugar Pink and for those looking for a pop of colour there is a bright fuchsia dubbed - Bouganville. The lipsticks are a good indication of the collection as a whole - a bright colour palette made extremely wearable with the addition of a few nude products. In essence something for most tastes. Speaking of bright lip choices there is a Dolce and Gabbana Intense Lip Gloss in the shade Bouganville which is exclusive to Harrods should you like the shade but prefer something a little more sheer and/or glossy. You could also wear this over the lipstick of the same shade should you wish.
Yes Dolce and Gabbana The Blush in Raspberry may look super scary in the pan but believe it or not it is super flattering and gives a pretty little pop of colour. It is super pigmented but with a light hand it can be worn on all complexions. I imagine this would be utterly beautiful on deep complexions, I personally can not wait to wear it in the Summer with a tan and perhaps a slick of mascara.
For me the most exciting part of this collection is the two new eyeshadow palettes - the delicate, cool toned and mostly matte "Tender" Dolce and Gabbana palette will be my go to this Spring and beyond, Recently a lot of neutral palettes are gold and warm in tone, loaded with sparkle so this matte, muted and altogether airy toned palette is a breath of fresh air. I personally think it gives a barely there and polished look - very lady like. If you prefer wearable yet bright eyeshadow perhaps the Dolce and Gabbana Colour Explosion Palette would be more your style; four matte eyeshadows with a highlight and definition option too. I'm not one to be swayed by anything other than neutrals when it comes to eyeshadow but for this palette I make exception.
Reviews, swatches and full break downs will follow in a few days but for now I can honestly say this is one of the most diverse Spring collections I have seen in a long while.
