By now I think most will know my candle obsession is well and truly out of hand. I am not fussy when it comes to brands all I ask is that they are safe to burn and smell delicious - cute packaging is not a must be forever a lovely bonus. With Spring firmly on route I felt it was only fair that I share my recent additions all of which are uplifting in scent and kind on the wallet in price. That my friends is a win/win situation.
Lily Flame candles are one my favourite brands not only to purchase for myself but as gifts too. Affordable, adorable and beautifully scented - in fact more often than not the most difficult decision is deciding which one I should take home. If this sounds familiar or perhaps you are looking for your first taste of the brand let me recommend the Lily Flame Mini Tins collection. There is two collections to choose from: Foodie and Floral - I have the former which has three bright, zesty scents that I can not get enough off. You didn't hear it from me but Lily Flame Mellow Fig and Garden Mint is a dead ringer for Diptyque Figuier Candle. Although mini they are really well sized and approximately half the size of an original Lily Flame candle.
Cute mini sized candles aside I am going to have to insist that all Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrance lovers check out Lily Flame Daisy Dip Candle (£8.50). Admittedly it is not an exact dupe but it definitely channels the same vibe and is the perfect fragrance to burn now the evenings are becoming lighter. A light, cheery floral that is not too strong yet has a lingering presence. If you are struggling for an affordable yet endearing gift for this Mothering Sunday I would point you in this direction.I should really have mentioned by now that Lily Flame candles burn evenly and cleanly.
I read somewhere that Selena Gomez's candle brand of choice was Voluspa. Luckily Voluspa stock within the UK offering free delivery direct from the site all with an affordable price tag, basically it would have been rude of me not to order. I'm almost certain Selena Gomez prefers the more floral varieties but I settled on Voluspa Suede Blanc Votive Candle (£13) a buttery blend of suede leather and cedar. Fans of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather may want to try this out as it is somewhat similar and 100% sexy, Yes I did just describe a candle as sexy.
Have you been enjoying any new home fragrances lately?
This post contains both press samples and products that I have purchased.
I'm always on the lookout for candles to try, and both of these sound amazing! Especially the Foodie collection from Lily Flame :) Fig & Mint sounds so delicious

Mellow Figs and Garden Mint is incredible! I definitely think the mint comes across more in this and Figuier is more green, but I love any kind of fig scent, so I'm happy either way!

Ah mine doesn't have any noticeable mint notes :( gutted as mint is one of my favourite scents ever! Maybe it is because mine is a mini? I will have to order a full size in that case :) yes me too, anything Fig scented has my attention :)
DeleteI too have a severe candle obsession. The suede blanc sounds fabulous. I find myself loving the crackling sound of Wood Essence candles.
