The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream

I've spoken about my obsession surrounding eye cream several times now, if surrounded by skin care the first item I will hone in on is eye cream. I have quite the collection and will pat eye cream on several times a day. Oddly most eye creams are aimed at those who have already experienced the signs of ageing rather than those say in their mid twenties keen to ward off the hands of time for as long as possible. It is a huge gap in the market many brands are missing and as a result I don't often get to share eye creams for those within my age group never mind affordable options that is until a recent trip into The Body Shop. Enter The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream...

From what I have learned in store and online this is a gentle eye cream for those who are experiencing the first signs of ageing; it is generally suggested 25+ but if you are a sun worshipper or have a tendency to squint into the sun etc then you may want to use it sooner rather than later. Annoyingly I can not find the basic ingredient line up for the The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream so I can not tell you what the active ingredients are and why it work but at least I can tell you what it does do!

In my opinion The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream is the perfect night and day option, it smooths, soothes and hydrates as well as helping to prevent future ageing. It is suggested that for optimum results you use this both day and night which I have been doing - at night I team it with Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair for Eyes. The texture is light, silky and slightly silicone based in my opinion despite having a light, airy texture. It is quickly absorbed into the skin, doesn't leave behind any greasy residue, all the while smoothing and hydrating the skin. As far as I can tell it does offer some sort of anti-ageing technology but what I can't personally name as of yet (I will delve deeper). As this is aimed at those with only very first signs of ageing or those keen to prevent lines at a young age it will not be all that intense, rather my guess is that the main purpose is to keep the skin soft, supple and hydrated.

The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream moistures really well, more so than any other "young skin" aimed eye cream I have tried in recent times. It is hard to gauge just how well this works as I and most other tester's of this cream will not have any lines to monitor but I am pretty smitten and I will repurchase. If you are a fan of Clarins Eye Contour Balm but not so much this price this is a great alternative.
