L'Occitane Women's Day 2015 Beauty Balm

Each year to mark International Women's Day (March 8th), L'Occitane launch a product to pay tribute to the women of Burkina Faso. It was here in the 1980's that Olivier Baussan first discovered Shea Butter which we all know to be an ultra diverse yet gentle moisturising ingredient. Over the last 30 or so years L'Occitane and the women of Burkina Faso have built a close bound with the The L'Occitane Foundation providing finical support as well as aid for vital literacy, education and microcredit programmes.

L'Occitane Women's Day 2015 Beauty Balm

For 2015 the product you can purchase via L'Occitane to help the cause is the L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Soft Balm. A sizeable yet easily transportable tin of apricot scented (it smells incredible) multi-purpose moisturiser that contains 96% Shea Butter. The balm itself is both nourishing and protecting - perfect for wind chapped and winter beaten skin be it on your face, lips, hands or body. It is lightweight, non-glossy and non-greasy - all you want from a balm and more.

With the support of The L'Occitane Foundation 100% of the profits from each sale of balm goes to the NGO's that promote women's entrepreneurship in Africa. The balm will cost just £4 when it launches on the 8th of March. Yes I was sent a press sample to highlight the event but I will be purchasing a few for the important women in my life to support the cause and I hope others will too.
