For the last few years John Lewis and Instyle team up with a panel of independent experts within the beauty industry to determine which are the best products of the year, be they old faithful's or newcomers. I was very kindly sent an assortment of the award winning goodies to put to the test. I thought I'd share the 13 award winning items I was gifted before I get down to putting them through their paces and deciding if they are in-fact worthy of their award.
What I was sent:
Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector - Best Age Spot Treatment
Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector - Best for Dark Circles
bareMinerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder - By the Brand Who Won Best Mineral Base Range
Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask - Best Hydrating Mask
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Best Facial Exfoliator
Lancome Hypnose Mascara - Best Mascara
Elemis Frangipani Body Oil - Best Body Oil
REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash - Best Shower Gel
Organic Pharmacy Discovery Travel Kit - By the Brand Who Won Best Eco/Organic Range
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder - Best Bronzer
Origins Super Spot Remover Blemish Treatment Gel - Best Spot Treatment
Origins No Puffery Cooling Roll-On for Puffy Eyes - Best Eye De-Puffer
Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Primer - Best Primer
Some of the above I have tried in the past such as the two Origins products and the REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash, others are completely new or it has been years since I last enjoyed them such as the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask. I am excited to re-visit such mask but really the three products I can't wait to sink my teeth into are bareMinerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder, the Lancome Hypnose Mascara and Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder.
Are any of the above award winning worthy in your opinion?
If you want to find out the entire line up you can visit Instyle here or head to your local newsagent and purchase this months issue of the magazine. All of the above products as are all the Instyle Beauty Winners are currently 10% off at John Lewis.
Is there anything you want me to feature sooner rather than later?
This post contains press samples.
The Guerlain bronzer sounds interesting. I haven't personally heard that much hype about it, so I'm curious!

The Elemis frangipani body oil smells absolutely divine - that's definitely a personal favourite! And I'm a massive fan of anything by Dermalogica - I've never had a bad experience with them.

I haven't tried any of these products but hey, if they're all award winning I'm sure they're great. Dear god I feel so out of the beauty loop.

How that REN body wash won is beyond me. The smell is awful but I admit that might be personal preference but it does nothing more than a £1 shower gel you could get in the supermarket.
ReplyDeletePlease do reviews of the Origins spot remover and the Laura Mercier primer! The Lancome mascara is my favourite!!
