Clarins UV Plus Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF50

I am not one to preach when it comes to skin care, I am not an expert and I am still trying to work out what is the best route for myself never mind others. One thing I am religious about and pretty pushy if I am entirely honest is sunscreen. Yes I live in Scotland, the land of the grey skies but UV rays are always present and forever damaging to the skin. If you don't want to age prematurely then incorporate a good form of UV protection into your daily routine. My newest skin care addition is Clarins UV Plus Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF50...

"The best just got better. What was...a lightweight, oil-free liquid veil that gives intense 100% mineral sun and pollution protection just by sitting invisibly over any day cream and beautifully under make-up..is still that but more. Because it now contains a super effective encapsulated antioxidant too which makes it an even more effective summer anti-ager. And it’s all down to France’s quintessential summer fruit, the cantaloupe melon. An organically farmed variety grown in Provence."

My requirements for my daily skin protectant are as follows: a high SPF, weightless, non-greasy and kind to the skin all of which Clarins UV Plus Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF50 is and more. This light, non-tinted liquid lotion is a breeze to apply to the skin, is quickly absorbed, is not at all greasy nor tacky in texture and won't clog the pores. Not to mention it is oil free and will protect the skin from both UVA and UVB rays as well as general environmental damage such as pollution and city living. Make-up glides on top of it and does not change in texture or tone should that be a worry, it is also kind of sensitised and blemished complexions - it is neither hydrating nor drying making it suitable for all. As sunscreen does have a tendency to leave us all a little greasy shall we say, this contains anti-shine technology which helps to reduce shine throughout the day and is compatible with all day creams. You really can't ask for more. Yes it is pricey but the little 30ml tube will last you a good few months and is worth every penny.

Clarins UV Plus Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF50 will launch on the 8th of March and cost £30/50ml.
