My Skin has been a mess, I have parred back my skin care routine, upped my water in-take and still my skin is misbehaving. Hopefully after a few weeks it will settle down but until then I have been disguising my pesky blemishes with a combination of heavy duty concealer (Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer) and a combination of L'Oreal True Match Foundation set with Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Cover Airbrush Powder Foundation. If you are looking for a super full coverage this is a great combination as it creates a flawless base without caking or feeling heavy on the skin.
As my base is pretty flat in finish I have been relying on Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light to add a light, radiant glow to my cheekbones. I forever forget just how much enjoy this powder until I dust it on. Subtle, pretty and yet noticeable, it is easily one of my favourite highlighting powders ever. As a side note it also doubles up as a radiance boosting setting powder. Another old favourite which has been getting a lot of love is Illamasqua Blush in Lover, a sweet, complexion boosting coral peach blush that suits just about every skin tone and always looks natural. If you have yet to try an Illamasqua blush promise me 2015 will be the year you make the splurge?
On my lips it has mostly been a combination of MAC Brave Lipstick which is a slightly deeper pink based nude than a normal reach for but I have been enjoying it none the less. Yes it is apparently Kylie Jenner's lipstick of choice but if applied with less vigour (aka no over lining of the lips) it is really wearable and flattering. To keep chapped lips at bay I have found myself slicking on Melvita Repairing Lip Balm which is one of the few honey based products I have ever grew to love. It is lightweight yet highly nourishing and generally just a dream to apply.
In this months My Little Box I received a bottle of Nails Inc Tate Nail Polish and instantly painted both my finger and toe nails. This deep yet easy to wear red is really flattering on my currently short and square nails. It is safe to say I am a fan. Lastly a quick shout out to Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue, my current go to eye cream. It soothes, hydrates and leaves my eye area feeling smoother with each use. I really like that it is nourishing yet does not interfere with any make-up applied on top.
What have you been enjoying lately?
i got mac brave recently, love the look of the kylie jenner lips :)
