Let's have a little Urban Decay trilogy shall we? Rounding off today's Urban Decay love in is perhaps one of my favourite, recent finds from the brand Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil in Naked Basics. A nifty, dual ended pencil that pretty much suits all my eye lining needs. If like myself you are not adventurous with eye liner in terms of shade this could be the perfect, everyday staple for you...
As you can see the Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil in Naked Basics is a double ended eye liner which is just slightly larger in length than your typical Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide On pencil. From what I have gather there are four shade choices to choose from within the Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil range, each of which has been created to cater to the four original Naked Palettes. I of course own Naked Basics which correlates to the Naked Basics Palette, there is also: Naked, Naked 2 and Naked 3. You can of course use the eyeliners how ever you wish but if you have been searching for the perfect eye liner for any of the Naked Palettes you now know there is an easy option out there.
The two shades that join forces to create the Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil in Naked Basics are: Venus - a light, slightly yellowed shimmer based ivory and Crave - a smoky, blackened rich brown that is matte. In my opinion the idea is that you use Venus to tight line the lower and upper water lines to give the illusion of larger eyes, where as Crave is used for definition be that lining the upper lash line or smoking out on the lower lashes. As with any eye liner it really is up to how and wear you apply the shades but the good news is that the formula is fairly adaptable. For instance you can apply the Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Glide On Eye Liners all over the lids as a cream eyeshadow (I tend to apply the pencil a little haphazardly over the lid and then grab a fluffy brush to blend out and soften), or use them as a base for powder eyeshadows should you wish. It also doesn't hurt that if you are pushed for space in your make-up bag that you have the option of two shades with all the convenience of one pencil.
It is no exaggeration to say that Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil's are one of if not the softest, creamiest formula I have ever tested - they glide onto the skin without tugging or pulling, all the while feeling light on the skin. Despite having a creamy formula once set they do not budge so a word to the wise is to quickly blend out if a smoky look is what you are after otherwise you will find it difficult to do so. As someone who suffers from watery eyes due to allergies a.k.a hayfever, Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil are a god send. I can apply them to my waterlines or on my eyelids and know that they will stay in place for at least 6 hours. On my lids the wear time is closer to the 10 hour mark when used with a primer, which is pretty impressive given my oily skin type. If you are looking for a fool proof liner that will hold its own against sun, sweat or oil look no further than Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencils.

ReplyDeleteThis looks great! I love the Urban Decay 24/7 liquid eyeliner so this is next to try. It's awesome that you it's dual-ended as well, rarely do I ever finish a kohl liner.

The black doesn't always smudges for me, even with a primer (guess my eyes are more watery than yours?), but I love using Venus in inner corners/under eye to brighten it up!
ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing, my eyelids are soo oily so I feel like this would be perfect- plus the colours are pretty perfect for day to day! xx

This looks fab! I always thought UD liners were a bit pricey but I guess with this one they're actually £6 each because you get 2 for the price of 1 :)

Oh I've never heard of this, but even the most waterproof of this eyeliner has smudged my eyelids and I lined my waterline with this.

I had no idea they did double ended pencils, although I love the original glide on liners. Really like the fact the colours are the same as their powder counterparts x

I'm pleasantly surprised that it's cheaper than i thought it would be actually, I thought it'd be around £16. Seriously considering this because I do think i'd use it every day whether it was for day or night makeup.
