I have small, hooded eyes which makes placing eye liner anywhere else other than my waterlines a nightmare. Maybe I don't have the require skill or patience levels, all I know is that I struggle! When it comes to liquid eye liner I'd rather give it a miss than risk creating a black, smudged mess. On whim I tried out the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen and my world was blown right open. Yes it is fairly pricey but if you struggle with liquid eye liner there truly is no easier pen to use!
Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen is a duo ended liquid eye liner which comes presented within a beautiful, metallic chocolate brown pen style packaging. It is fairly weighty due to the metal casing which actually works in the products favour. The slight weight allows for added control and ease of use. As mentioned there are two ends to this eye liner; on the top you have a mid-sized (about the same size as most felt pen liquid liner nibs) tapered felt tip liner which is perfect for creating feline style flicks on most eye shapes. With a tapered tip you can hold the pen certain ways to create lines of various thickness but on the whole this mainly produces mid to thick lines. At the bottom of Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen is a finer nib which again is felt in style and tapered and where the magic in my opinion happens. This super fine applicator allows you to really get into the root of the eyelashes to create the illusion of added length and thickness not to mention. If like myself you don't have a lot of eye lid space to place liquid liner on the fineness of this liner will be a complete revelation. At last you can line and define without appearing like you are forever rocking an all black eyeshadow look. I know some of you know what I mean!
The beauty of the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen is that the texture of the applicators - soft, yet firm allow the liner to glide on to the skin. Unlike other pen style liquid liners you do not have to apply firm pressure to create lines - the liquid flows with ease yet does not bleed or run from the nib. It really is liquid liner perfection. The formula itself does not bleed, smudge or become flaky throughout the day yet it removes with ease (any eye make-up remover does the job nicely). I have the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen in the shade 01 Deeper which is your standard black shade. It is beautifully pigmented so there is no need to apply several layers even on deep complexions. I seldom rave about liquid eye liners but Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen is firmly on its way to becoming my holy grail. I can not recommend it enough!

That looks good ^_^
ReplyDeleteI just recently did some shopping for makeup at Macy's and I bought so many stuff from Clinique.
At this moment I am so over buying drugstore products.
My new products from Clinique are way too good for me to waste my money on junk.
The price of this alone keeps me from trying this :( Looks amazing!

Sounds really good. It is really beautifully pigmented, what I can judge from the photos.

This sounds like a nice liner. Buuut, I can't bring myself to pay that much for it =/ I have one similar to the looks of this by Physician's Formula, for I think around $10-12, that I enjoy very much (bonus: it has lash boosting serum in it that I believe works!).

The price of this makes me want to cry a little, but I'm lusting over it so badly, especially for the small nib because I know only too well the harsh reality of having my eyeliner look like eye shadow because my eyes are teeny tiny

The eyeliner looks amazing but I can't justify spending £42 one an eyeliner - haha! x

I have the same hooded eye problem and this eyeliner sounds like a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI wince at the price of this eyeliner but I suppose if you used it a lot before it dried out then it would be worth it. Maybe. I think I'd rather get a lipstick for that price. I get more joy from those.

That look so nice...really interesting ^_^

£42 for an eye liner really does make my eyes water! It looks lovely but I think I'll be sticking with the Soap & Glory Supercat liner for 6 quid! x
