Last night as I am currently away from home, I was able to indulge in a soothing, warm bath and what better excuse to test out the new Lush The Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar. Isn't it a beauty? A techno-coloured dream, whimsical bubble bar in which you crumble up under running warm water to create a fountain of bubbles! If the pretty, pastel rainbow palette isn't enough to reel you in the light glitter lustre and real candy stars (sadly my bar is lacking in the star count) may grab your attention.
In my opinion this is one you want to save for the evening, when you are looking for something to help soothe and calm before a peaceful nights rest. Lush have scented the Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar with Lavender and Neroli Oil which may sound deep and dreamy but it is oddly one of the lighter sleepy scents I have encountered. In solid form this is not your typical lavender fragrance, it almost has a certain candy like quality but added to warm water it softens a little, loosing the sugary edge and becomes a little more powdery - it reminds me somewhat of talcum powder which will help even the most active minds switch unwind and perhaps evoke childhood memories? Heck I'm a fully grown woman in my twenties now and all I want is My Little Pony pj's to slip on after a Lush The Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar bath. A girl or should that be lady, can only but dream.
As with most Lush Bubble Bars this produces more frothy bubbles than you can imagine, in my opinion one quarter of the large bar, crumbled up under running water is more than enough - especially if you want a more mellow scent throw. If you are wondering what colour the Lush The Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar will tint the bath water, the answer is a pastel lavender - of course.
At £3.25 it is one of Lush's better value bath products as a little will go a long way.
