Today Clarins latest collection for Spring - Garden Escape launches both online and on counters. The collection is fairly vast but the stand out product for myself and so many others will undoubtedly be the new Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors. In essence a solid version of the now cult Clarins Instant Light Lip Prefectors. Trust me when I say if you are a fan of the original formula or want a light, yet tinted and nourishing lip product you are going to want to invest in at least one shade of the new Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors.
At the moment there are six shades of Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors to choose from, I was kindly sent three to try out: 02 Coral (a light barely there yellow toned peach), 04 Orange (a barely there orange toned coral) and 05 Red (a true red tint, reminds me of Benefit Benetint). As you have most likely gathered that being tinted lip balms the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors are not the most pigmented of lip products, rather they deliver subtle hints of colour as well as a dose of hydration. The great thing about the lack of pigment is that they do not mask the lips in colour but work with the natural hue of your lips, making all six shades fairly universal.
If you are familiar with the original Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors then I can say that the texture is not all that dissimilar, the main difference being that one is a liquid and the other a solid - once applied to the lips they feel really similar if not identical. The Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors glide on to the lips with ease thanks to the gel like texture - there is no tugging or pulling even on the driest of lips. The Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors are beyond hydrating instantly nourishing the skin and forming a barrier against the cold weather, leaving the lips lightly tinted and hydrated in one quite step. Despite the glossy finish they are not at all sticky but I do have to state that the wear time in terms of the tint is not all that wonderful with most traces of colour gone within the hour. On the plus side I can still feel the moisture and balm like qualities on my lips up until the two hour mark. Plumper, softer lips with a hint on a tint, what is not to like?

Nice colours but I have to say I felt a bit disappointed when I saw these are retailing for £18. That's quite a lot just for tinted lip balms. x
