Tomorrow is the first of December. Yikes! I don't know about you but along with the excitement of the festive period, I get little pangs of disappointment due to the fact that I have not accomplished all my goals I set of for 2014. Four weeks is a hella short time to fit in a years worth of resolutions, not to bring anyone down or anything ha! Anyway here is what I have been enjoying for the last seven days...
When it comes to skin care I am not one to slap on lots of lotions and potions in one go. I cleanse, tone (sometimes), moisturise and treat - that's really it. At the moment my skin is fairly dehydrated so Clarins Blue Lotus Oil is a must, along with Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream. Both re-store and rebalance my skin and have certainly improved any dryness. I also highly recommend Nuxe 24HR Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask, this is a highly nourishing yet lightweight mask that quickly eradicates any dryness all the while leaving the skin plump and glowing. A Winter skin care staple for sure. I also want to give a quick shout out to Bioderma Eye Contour Gel - this is light enough for young skin types yet deeply hydrating at the same time. No it isn't anti-ageing but it is a great everyday eye cream.
Much like my skin care routine this week my make-up has been simple yet effective. I have been teaming up Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - this gives me a natural yet high coverage finish that is comfortable and long lasting. I have also been slapping on Blistex Mediplus Lip Balm with gusto and my my lips have never looked better! Kiss me quick eh!
I'm glad the weather is now chilly enough for me to wear Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum daily. As many will know this is my signature scent and if I am entirely honest I don't always feel myself without a quick mist. Bizarre but it is like an old friend, comforting and oh so familiar. The lasting power is second to none and like I said I just can't be without it.
