Weekly Favourites #62

It is wet, miserable and I think we are all just about in festive mode so rather than bog you down with a lengthy introduction let me quickly share what I have been enjoying lately...

Clarins Everlasting Foundation £23.75 via Escentual - A new release in which I will be sharing a full review in the coming week but one of the few foundations of 2014 that has blown me away. I kid you not when I say that I don't use powder to set this, it is that long lasting and I am known for having oily/dehydrated skin. It doesn't budge, it doesn't give into oil, it offers a great level of coverage, is quite matte and very comfortable to wear, not to mention a breeze to apply. As I said a full review is in the works but I am pretty weak in the knees for this formulation.

Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette £56 via Space.NK - I am shocked that this is still fairly easy to purchase as it is a limited edition offering, perhaps the price tag put some off? This is one of the few palettes I own in which I not only like but actually use every shade, no the blushes aren't the most pigmented in the world but they give a lovely flush to the cheeks, illuminate and generally give a fresh, youthful glow. I am a complete convert to Hourglass Ambient Light Blushes. More please, by that I mean please launch more shades!

Weekly Favourites #62

NARS Chelsea Girls Lip Lacquer £17.50 via Space.NK - Like most and especially at this time of the year I am not a lip gloss fan, quite the opposite and yet I have been reaching for NARS Chelsea Girls almost daily. There is something so flattering about this yellow based light pink that I can cast aside the fact it is a gloss. Chelsea Girls is one of those shades that really suits my light medium skin tone and oddly makes the rest of my make-up fall in place. I call it my perfect blonde pink, make of that what you will.

Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in Cherie Bow £21.60 via Escentual - This was one of my first ever Dior purchases and probably the item that made me fall in love with the brand. This muted, light yet neutral pink is my daily go to lipstick, it may be a little too pale in tone for some but for me it is a my lips but better shade. The formula is so comfortable, moisturising and despite being glossy in finish it is not at all sticky. I will be purchasing more shades in the future that is for sure.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream £22.10 via Feel Unique - I speak about this all the time, in a nutshell this is my go to heavy duty lip balm. When nothing else is working or I need a barrier against the cold weather this is what I reach for. If you have yet to experience how wonderful this balm is I urge you to ask Santa nicely for a tube this Christmas. A staple product of mine for sure!

Kure Bazaare Nail Lacquer in Boyfriend £14.95 via LoveLula - I saw olive green nails on a model recently and it was all I could think about. As you can tell I have a lot of time on my hands, no pun intended! In my stash I found the perfect shade in Kure Bazaare Nail Lacquer in Boyfriend, a grey based green that applies beautifully and is the perfect muted green hue. I need to wear this more often,

Pixi Glow Tonic £18 - Now I get it, I really do. I have only been using this bi-nightly for a week now and my skin is really starting to improve. It has been hailed as dupe for Alpha-H Gold but I find it much more gentle. I will of course type up a full review in a month or so but so far so good!

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil £18.15 via Escentual - My skin saviour, I now use this in place of a typical moisturiser as my skin has really taken a beating this Winter. I adore how quick acting is and the fact it really does help to not only restore and rebalance the skin but also fights blemishes. All dehydrated skin types need a bottle of this wonderful oil on stand by.
