I have only just realised that the next time I type up my monthly favourites it will be 2015. Can we all just slow down, I'm getting anxious here. 2015...yikes! Anyway before I get too ahead of myself let me share a few products that I have been enjoying for the month that was November.
I've mentioned fairly regularly that my skin is going through a de-hydrated phase and as such I have had to make a few adjustments. Two products I utterly swear by in terms of skin care are Clarins Blue Orchid Facial Oil which not only hydrates and balances the skin but also helps to heal blemishes. It really is nothing short of wonderful. I have also been heavily relying on is Nuxe Crème Fraiche de Beaute Masque - 24Hr Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask. Not only does this mask soothe winter beaten skin but it replenishes and deeply hydrates without being too heavy for my somewhat oily complexion. I would recommend this to all, even if you only use it once a week as a treatment mask.
Much like above I did have to tweak my foundation routine to suit me needs and my favourite combination at the moment has to be Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation and L'Oreal True Match Concealer. I like that Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation covers well yet is light and hydrating, it doesn't overwhelm my skin, wears well and is extremely comfortable. Yes it is heavily scented but my skin seems to enjoy it. For pesky blemishes and under eye circles I can not fault L'Oreal True Match Concealer - it blends so well, doesn't crease and offers great coverage. I would go as far as saying I prefer it over NARS Creamy Concealer!
The rest of my make-up has been fairly basic (a lot like myself) with my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (the original) getting a lot of use. I have slowly come around to the wonder that is Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and to keep my eyes looking bright I have been lining a lot with Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Pencil in Nude. As much as I like blush it has been all about a natural contour lately which I have been relying on The Balm Bahama Mama to provide. Seriously if you do not own this bronzer make it your make-up priority. It is that good.
Lastly a little nod to Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum, I have all but drained a full bottle of this strong yet perfectly cold weather appropriate scent. I just can't get enough.
What have you been enjoying lately?
Nice - i like Basics <3

I may have to hunt the L'oreal concealer out, something to rival Nars creamy concealer is worth trying I think. x
ReplyDeleteThe Bahama Mama bronzer is my all time fave!

I'm going to have to try that L'oreal concealer! I love Bars Creamy Concealer, but I like to have a lower cost option that I can leave in the car and gym bag for touch-ups.
ReplyDeleteTry the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, it's amazing and really affordable!
