Budget palettes come and go, especially as far as neutral eyeshadows are concerned but if you are looking for a somewhat mini palette, full of well pigmented shades that are more than wearable look no further than the Collection Little Mix Love Eye Palette. At £3 you can't afford to skip it!
Let's be brutally honest the packaging is nothing to write home about, if anything it is cheap in design and looks, bulky and the reinforced cardboard is less than idea. I would however rather than brands scrimped on the packaging in favour of the product inside and that is the case with the Collection Little Mix Love Eye Palette. As to be expected this comes complete with a dual ended foam applicator and no mirror but for £3 this is not to be grumbled at.
A good few have compared the Collection Little Mix Love Eye Palette to the original Urban Decay Naked Palette and I can see what they are getting at. The Collection Little Mix Love Eye Palette features six, fairly warm toned neutral eyeshadows in an array of finishes - mostly matte and shimmer formulations. It is like as somewhat abridged version of the original Naked palette if anything. Inside we have the following shades (left to right): Feather - a light, neutral matte cream eyeshadow, Sunkissed - a bright, shimmer based, orange copper, Golden Sand - another metallic only this is a light, yellow based gold hue, Dazzling Brown - a shimmer based, neutral, golden brown, Cocoa Dream - a mid toned, yellow based shimmering brown and lastly Blackbird - a matte black. If you are looking for dupes Feather is similar to Urban Decay's Strange (Naked 3), Sunkissed - Urban Decay Half Baked, Dazzling Brown - UD Side Car and Cocoa Dream - Smog. There isn't really a dupe for Golden Sand and Blackbird is just a matte black - most eyeshadow palettes feature such shade.
Now I know what you are thinking, at £3 for a full palette the quality is most likely to be shoddy. It is cool, I thought the same thing until I put the Collection Little Mix Love Eye Palette to the test. Surprisingly on the whole the shades are buttery soft, have minimal product fall out, are well pigmented and easy to blend. I will state that the lightest shade Feather was a little chalky, not all that pigmented and more difficult to work with. I know not everyone uses a primer but in the case of the Collection Little Mix Love Eye Palette I would highly recommend one. Yes the eyeshadows do offer great colour pay off but the wear time is a little under par - especially on oiler skin types. I found without a primer the shades had both creased and faded around the four hour mark; with they stayed in place, crease free for close to seven hours. All in all a great little neutral palette that won't break the bank.

I'd rather have a palette that is good quality and the packaging on the rubbish side rather than a product with fab packaging, with the price hiked for that reason and the quality be not so great. For £3 it looks like you get what you pay for and it's worth the price at that. X
