I have damaged hair, well in my opinion anyway. Hairdressers and fellow long haired gals (and sometimes guys) don't always agree. To the touch my hair is soft and my ends are not split despite my hair now touching my waist but trust me it is damaged. I do have a few products that seemingly fool the naked eye and to some extent touch and Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Hair Treatment is one of them.
"Improvement in the condition of dry, damaged hair after just 1 treatment. This clinically proven cult classic is fortified with pure Ojon™ oil, nature's powerful golden elixir, a rare powerful natural ingredient that's rich in essential lipids similar to those found in healthy hair. After just one treatment, this rich, velvety balm dramatically helps restore vibrant health, strength and shine to even the most damaged hair. Hair is soft, silky and manageable. A must-have for lifeless, dull, brittle, frizzy, flyaway or unmanageable hair."

Let me be straight, this is a nightmare to apply - a thick, solid balm that you need to warm up with your hands and then work through the hair. It doesn't help that the Winter cold makes the balm more difficult to scrape out the pot never mind warm. It is however worth the extra hassle as once in the hair you can leave it for as long as you can possibly manage (I sometimes leave it overnight) then shampoo out. As it is a solid product there is next to no mess yet you have all the nourishment, repairing qualities as well as moisture from a typical oil. Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Hair Treatment is another one of those products that a less is more approach is recommended and stay well away from your roots - I only apply from my ear lobes down as that is where my hair is most dry and most likely most damaged. After a few uses I will happily report that my hair is softer, less prone to frizz and the texture is generally improved.

As this is quite an expensive treatment I do only use it once a week and even then it is only if I feel like my hair needs the extra nourishment. Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Hair Treatment is intense to say the least, from the first use you should notice and improvement. Typically speaking I wouldn't recommend this for fine hair as it could weigh the hair down, however if your hair texture is dried out then you could maybe try it on wet hair rather than dry hair?

I really love Ojon products and am interested to try this one! This seems similar to coconut oil in the way that you have to warm it up first before you can apply it - as you said, not an easy task in this cold weather :(

Ooo I think I might have to pick this up! I've tried the Macadamia mask but I think this would be better for my 'damaged' hair. x

I have this product myself and love it! I get the hairdryer on it to soften it so it's easier to apply :)

This is really interesting I bought this a couple of years ago of a TV shop and had absolutely no luck with it - as in when I washed it out in the morning the only noticeable difference was the smell! I wonder if the formula is different now or if I've just been using it wrong e whole time!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favourite hair masks, great review. There is a light version for thinner hair, but I manage to use the regular one without a problem. I also sleep in it but have to be weary of my pillows, I often wake up in a greasy pool of product! But it works so well!

I love this product so much, I used it when my hair was so damaged and I applied it from my root to ends and it worked wonders! I couldn't recommend it enough, although it is expensive so I have not repurchased it since my hair is now in better condition, if your hair is really damaged I recommend smoothering it on haha
