"Greys - flatter any eye colour. It’s instant glam with this smoky palette. These shades lend a sultry softness to a dramatic eye. Pair them with a bright lip." I agree with Clinique this really is a suit all palette and from what I have seen very flexible as you have soft shades for day wear or definition as well as deeper shades for a classic smoky eye come night fall!
"Greens - make blue eyes bluer. To bring out the best in baby blues, greens do the trick. Eyes come alive when shadow doesn't match your eyes." I truly did not know that greens made blue eyes bluer, I was always told that orange tones such as copper are the way to make blue eyes bluer. I personally think green eyeshadow looks wonderful on most eye shades especially those with hazel eyes.
"Nudes- instant de-agers. Matte and low-level shimmers work best to de-age. Nudes work at night, too. Add drama with deeper tones around lash line. Highlight with lighter, shimmery shades." Who doesn't love a nude, neutral palette? The warm tones in this palette should make both blue and green eyes look more intense as well as being super flattering on brown and hazel eyes.
"Pinks - look good in every light. Any eye colour can pull off pinks, but they really look great on hazel eyes. Define eyes with dark liner to contrast with softer hues." I agree with Clinique pink eyeshadow looks beautiful on brown and hazel eyes.
"Blues - best for brightening. The darker the eyeliner, the whiter and brighter your eyes look. Try deep cobalt, violet - a revelation." No arguments here, if you have brown eyes I urge you to try a deep blue eyeshadow at some point - it is such a striking combination. I personally tend to use navy blue eyeshadow in a smoky eye opposed to black - I find it gives a softer yet equally dramatic look. I think this a great, suit all palette as you have neutrals alongside a few pops of colours. This is one I would pop in a travel make-up bag.

These look so good. All of them are so natural and provides a range of shades to mix and match to create some unique looks. I especially love the greys palette as it is something I tend to wear on a daily basis.

I was just looking at these online and lusting after the greens funnily enough - I'm with you, I was also told opposite spectrum colours (so for blue it'd be orange) was the way to make your eye colour pop, but I'm more than happy to test the theory out on those wonderful greens...xx
ReplyDeleteThis pallet is worth to share to everyone.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors.

ReplyDeleteWow these look lovely! I haven't tried a Clinique eyeshadow in a loooong time (it's been a hot minute and a half, and it was definitely before the reformulation) and I'm loving the look of the Pinks palette! I'm torn between that one and the LE Black Honey Affair palette though. I wish these were out already, so I could compare the two. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post!
