Three Eye Creams for Younger Skin Types

If like myself you worry about crows feet but don't quite feel old enough, or simply don't have a need for heavy duty anti-ageing eye creams yet then my pick of three eye creams for younger skin types, may just be what you are looking for. As you may know the skin around the eye is finer in layers and the more often than not the first place to wrinkle - my money is on my forehead going first as I talk with my whole face and more often than not have dancing eyebrows. Some see eye cream as a gimmick and feel your regular moisturiser on such area is more than enough. As I'm not a skin care expert I won't argue but I don't find regular moisturiser absorbs all that well in such area and surely as the skin is so delicate it will need something lighter? At the moment I am all about light almost serum like eye creams and I have picked out my top three that I find best suited to younger skin...

Three Eye Creams for Younger Skin Types

Clarins Eye Contour Balm £30/20ml via Boots - link.
In a nutshell I utterly adore this "balm" I have went through three tubes this year and utterly drain them - my photo shows my latest casualty. What you can't see is that I have snipped open the back of the tube to get out every last drop. I spend a lot of time at the computer screen and have a rule every time I am at home bare faced I will apply eye cream as often as I do hand cream. A little obscure? Probably but it works for me. Anyway Clarins Eye Contour Balm has a light almost lotion like consistency that instantly hydrates and soothes the skin in one quick step. I see this as my first step into anti-ageing for the eye area as with continuous use it can help protect the vulnerable skin around the eye using a blend of ultra gentle and nourishing Shea Butter which can help to restore elasticity. It also includes Chicory to heal the skin and Cereal Seeds to revitalise the skin. It is one of the few eye creams that I own in which I can apply make-up immediately after use and experience no problems, if fact I'd go as far as saying it provides a lovely, even base to do so. Clarins do state that this can minimise the look of wrinkles, fine lines and crows feet which I can't comment on but for us with younger skin it is more than enough to keep the eye area looking fresh. My most pricey pick of the bunch but trust me when I say it is worth every single penny and more.

Bioderma Sensibio Eye Contour Gel £14/15ml via Escentual - link
So you like the idea of the above Clarins Eye Contour Balm but don't want to spend £30? Never fear I have your back. Bioderma Sensibio Eye Contour Gel is a great alternative and perhaps the best option for sensitised skin. It is very similar in texture to the Clarins option - light, quickly absorbed and hydrating. It works to de-congest the eye area - soothing, de-puffing and soothing out fine lines. It is a great little eye cream that I find myself reaching for in the morning but I will be entirely honest Clarins pips this to the post in terms of future benefits - I see the Bioderma option as more of a cooling eye area moisturiser where as the Clarins version will help to combat signs of ageing both now and in the future making it more of an investment. However having said when money is tight I happily use this daily with no complaints what so ever. It is one of the few eye creams in which my eyes never water when using!

Una Brennan Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Dark Circles Eye Cream £12.99/15ml via Boots - link.
So maybe you don't want something anti-ageing at all, you are in the market for a brightening yet hydrating formula that won't break the bank? Well look no further than .Una Brennan Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Dark Circles Eye Cream. This is a light yet rather moisturising formula that quickly sinks into the skin (despite being a slightly thicker consistency) making it perfect for morning applications before make-up. Yes the concept of this particular eye cream is to banish dark circles which it does over time (around 3 weeks to a month, we all differ) but I deem it to be a great all round eye cream and perfectly suited to those in their teens to early twenties who are looking out to start with an eye cream. However don't get me wrong this is suited to all ages as it hydrates, smooths and soothes all the while helping create a light radiance effect to the eye area - I liken it somewhat to The Body Shop's Vitamin E Eye Cream in that aspect.

Would it be helpful if I followed up with posts in a similar vain for other aspects of skin care?
