A new and extremely expensive fragrance is set to launch this December and will be exclusive to Harrods. "Luxury interiors and fragrance brand Clive Christian has announced the launch of No1 Imperial, a 2015 special edition containing the richer, more complex and concentrated version of No 1 The World’s Most Expensive Perfume. With 10 bottles for men and 10 for women, the first 20 bottles will be individually signed by Clive Christian. No1 for Womenis a floral oriental scent, comprising top notes of pineapple, plum, mirabelle, white peach, bergamot and lemon. With rosa centafolia at the centre, spicier notes of cardamom and pimento oil are included, followed by notes of jasmine, carnation and orchid. At the base is Tahitian vanilla, cedar, sandalwood, musk, amber and tonka beans. No1 for Men is a woody oriental scent, comprising top notes of bergamot, lime, Sicilian mandarin and pink grapefruit, which are spiced up with cardamom, nutmeg, pimento oil, thyme and artemisia oil. The heart contains rose, jasmine, lily of the valley, orris, yang-ylang and heliotrope, while a rare 50-year-old Indian sandalwood, musk and vetiver are at the base. Presented in a red velvet-lined case, the gold bottle is decorated with intricate lattice-work, which is an artistic interpretation of the chain in the shield of Clive Christian’s coats of arms." £1000/50ml...ouch!
