Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water Smashbox Double Exposure Palette

Today I was invited along to a beauty show case in which I not only got to see but also learn about new launches from Smashbox, Bumble and Bumble and Ojon. From the get go my eyes honed in the newest Smashbox palette - Smashbox Double Exposure Eyeshadow palette. This is to be seen as the younger sister of the ever successful Smashbox Full Exposure Eyeshadow palette.

The Smashbox Double Exposure Eyeshadow palette is the perfect combination of not only matte and shimmer shades, warm and cool tones but also neutrals and totally wearable pops of colour as well as a staple white and black shadow. It really is all you would want from a neutral eyeshadow palette and more. As much as I like Urban Decay Naked palettes I do feel that they have become a little samey and more often than not ripped off by rival brands. Smashbox Double Exposure Eyeshadow palette is the first palette I have seen that successfully includes wearable colourful eyeshadows as well as a few staple shades which are not your typical nude eyeshadows. I apologise that I don't have an abundance of photos as I was soaking up all the information. Generally speaking the "pops of colour" so to speak are blue, purple and mauve toned which will suit all eye colours (if you have green or hazel eyes you need this) as well as complexions. I know the biggest grumble in regards to the Smashbox Full Exposure Eyeshadow palette was that the shimmer based shades were a little on the sheer side? After a quick play around I don't find this to be the case but of course I will update with a full review in the coming weeks. This will launch on the 7th of January 2015 and will cost £37.

Another product to get excited about is the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water which is a mist on priming spray. You mist this on before you apply your foundation and it not only helps to keep make-up in place but also hydrates the skin too. It is packed with revitalising electrolytes as well as being free from alcohol, silicones and oil. The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water not only primes but can be used to set make-up, as facial hydration spray and as a mixing medium (to turn eyeshadows into liquid liners etc). It is beautifully sheer, refreshing and oddly hydrating not to mention it smells great (kind of lemon and lime like in my opinion). If you find primers too be almost sufficating on the skin this could be what you are looking for. I kid you not when I say it feels beautiful on the skin and I for one can't wait for it to launch. Launch date 18th of February 2015 and will cost £20 for what I guess is 150mls?

Does either intrigue you?
