In January, Benefit will launch Benefit Puff Off which is an eye primer of sorts - a light, silicone gel that instantly lifts and fills in any fine lines in such area. It also cools, calms and hydrates. Now I'm not saying that L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur is an exact dupe but if you are willing to forgo the cooling aspect, and the rather fun applicator of Benefit Puff Off I'd say that this is a pretty close dupe.
Unlike Benefit Puff Off, L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur has been created for all over use on the face but is safe to use on and around the eye area. Good news as it means you don't have to fork out on a separate primer or product for that matter to prime the face as well as "filling in" enlarged pores. Now I don't know if I have a dud (it works perfectly well so I am assuming that is not the case) or perhaps it is a misprint but L'Oreal have stated on the outer packaging that this is a tinted product, an universal shade no less that will adapt to each individual skin tone - a lot like BB/CC Creams. The tube I have is in no way tinted, it is a thick, white cream that doesn't change colour at all. If you have a deep complexion don't let this worry you as L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur does not leave behind a white cast whatsoever.
If you are familiar with the likes of Benefit Porefessional you will know what to expect from L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur, only this is of better quality in my humble opinion. Not only does L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur optically blur any skin surface imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores but it primes the skin and helps aid oil control. If applied all over the face you have a velvety soft complexion which looks airbrushed, foundation applies beautifully over the top and is prolonged in wear time. Despite having a somewhat thick texture (it reminds me a lot of Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer the more I think about it), L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur is extremely comfortable to wear and does not clog my pores or cause my skin to react adversely. It doesn't irritate my eyes and is easily one of the best primers of its type on the high street, I just wish the tube size was a little larger but I would repurchase this without hesitation.
L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur currently £8.65/15ml via Superdrug - link.
Would you say it outperforms other primers or is just good at undereye business?
ReplyDeletex Thanks!

I am guessing this is not available in the US yet? I haven't seen it before (I just looked through all their products yesterday!). I normally use my foundation primer and dab a bit under my eyes since I don't have a specific one for my eye area (yet)!

I am so happy to hear that you think that this is better quality than the pore-fessional! I've been waiting for a review on this to come out and I wasn't disappointed.
