House of Fraser Beauty Haul

Hands up who loves a good haul? Me too, particularly if I'm the one that is doing the hauling ha!
There are so many things hitting the beauty counters lately that I really could resist much longer and ended up placing a fairly hefty order with House of Fraser last Thursday night. Cue yesterday morning when the bounty arrived and I couldn't hold off sharing. Basically the quicker I take the photos, the quicker I can play with the new products - it's a real blogger rule don't you know?

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette £22 - link.
I imagine the most asked question will be do you need both? In a word, no! I have yet to try Naked Basics 2 out but I will say that from the get go the shades are cooler in tone and if they don't turn out to be as chalky as others have said then it could become a staple in my make-up bag. I will admit that I purchased this on a whim and really to complete my Naked collection which is idiotic really. I will update with a full review and swatches as soon I have given it a whirl.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray £9 - link
I own a good few of the Urban Decay facial sprays and do rather like them but for some reason I have never been tempted by the All Nighter version. Not so long ago Urban Decay launched mini versions of their best selling facial mists and at £9 it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss. I am really excited to try this out and although it won't be a product I use daily I do hope that it it prolongs my make-up wear enough that I can rely on it for nights out. Here's hoping!

DiorShow Iconic Overcurl Catwalk Eye Make-Up Kit £24.50 - link
Completely added to my online cart on a whim, I saw the dinky little eyeshadow palette and pretty much decided on the spot that I needed it. Now the palette and mascara are here I am not so convinced. The palette is too small to use and after trying the mascara yesterday I'm not 100% sold. Yes it does add a curl to my lashes but it smudges so, so badly after half an hour of wear I look like I have decided to take on Mike Tyson. At the moment I am not at all impressed by the formula.

NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Desdemonda £21 - link
I'm not sure this is the shade I ordered, I could have sworn I clicked on a beige typical me and slightly boring hue instead of Desdemonda. Now it is in my clutches I have decided to keep it and give it a whirl. Honestly the shade is bizarre - a purple tinged deep pink almost berry tone which reflects purple and blue. This could be a catastrophe waiting to happen or the start of a beautiful friendship. We shall see - on a side note does online shopping ever run smoothly when you are half asleep?

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Brigette £24 - link
I actually have two other shades of the NARS Audacious Lipsticks from when they first launched, for one reason or the other I have yet to post my thoughts. I think I will hold off and share all three shades in one review post? Anyway I am a little obsessed with Brigette Bardot (who isn't?) and her make-up style from back in the day and as this shade is inspired by such lady I knew it would be a case of sooner or later it will be mine. Well today is that day and I can happily say not only is the formulation beautiful but so is the shade. In my opinion it is the perfect nude for blondes!

Excuse me while I place my bank card back in the freezer where it belongs.
