As mentioned above Barry M Holly A's Surprise Surprise is a light milky nude hue tinged with pink and iridescent shimmer which does not translate on to the lips. It reminds me a lot of MAC's Hue Lipstick only in lipgloss form. Yes it is a fairly light shade but as it is a lipgloss it works with the lips natural hue rather than masking them. I find shades like this are best layered over similar toned lipsticks for a plumping effect but of course that is not to say it can not be worn alone. Application is fairly easy thanks to the doe foot applicator which admittedly I am not always the biggest fan of but in this instance I do think it evenly distributes the gloss and makes application a breeze.
Surprisingly (no pun intended) for a lip gloss this is not all that sticky and not as sheer as I thought it would be.The pigmentation is a little above average ant provides a nice level of glossy colour, that is moisturising, fairly lightweight and comfortable to wear. I personally really enjoy the scent/taste of this formula to me it smells very reminiscent of sherbet but if you don't like scented lip products then I suggest you skip this product as the scent is fairly noticeable when worn. In terms of wear this does perform how a typical gloss does - I achieved around an hour of wear with each application so not really long lasting but a very pretty shade!
Apologies that there is no current lip swatches, my lips are beyond chapped and the last thing I want to do is display them and of course put people off their food and of course gloss ha! I will update once they heal.
Barry M Surprise Surprise Lipgloss will be around for six months and costs £4.49, it can be found here - link.
