Huge Superdrug Haul

I don't often visit Superdrug but when I do, I leave with a good few bags and I'm not even sorry.
Is it just me of does Superdrug tend to have better deals on cosmetics than say Boots?
Those 3 for 2 and buy one get one half price offers get me each and every time, saying that here is what I picked up in the last few days...

Carex Hand Wash in Bubblegum £1.85 - link
Carex Hand Wash in Cola Bottles £1.85 - link
Carex Sanitising Hand Gel in Strawberry Laces 99p - link

Hand wash? I know the least exciting thing in the world...well maybe not but still not really something I normally rush to purchase. Well that is until I noticed that Superdrug now stock Carex Hand Wash in Bubblegum and Cola Bottles each of which smell utterly amazing and like the real thing (yum sweets). Sure a woman in her twenties really should go for more sophisticated options but when they smell this great who can blame a gal. I also purchased Carex Sanitising Hand Gel in Strawberry Laces which doesn't smell that great, in my opinion it almost has a sweaty scent (nope no typo, I am referring to B.O) - that is unless I had a dud!

Superdrug 3-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo £1.29 - link
Superdrug Black Cherry and Macadamia Nuts Body Butter £3.99 - link

After a full head bleaching session my scalp has been a little sensitive and prone to itching due to it being utterly dried out. I have been on the look out for a shampoo that will not only cleanse my hair but also moisturise and hopefully to some degree help re-balance my scalp. Who knew that I would find something that ticks all the boxes in the child's aisle? I have of course yet to test Superdrug 3-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo but I like that it is seemingly gentle, deeply cleansing and yet conditions the hair and scalp at the same time. I also happen to a fan of anything tea tree based as I find it helps to heal. At the moment on Superdrug own brand items they have a buy one get one half price offer and on a whim I popped the Superdrug Black Cherry and Macadamia Nuts Body Butter into my basket. It smells out of this world - like black cherry yoghurt!

B. Clean Melting Gel Cleanser £3.47 - link
Superdrug Vitamin E Moisture Mask £2.59 - link
Superdrug Aloe Vera Mud Mask £2.59 - link

I have a weakness for gel cleansers and when I noticed that the B. Clean Melting Gel Cleanser was reduced to half price I thought now would be a good time to try it out. I have now used it twice and have to say I am impressed, it is super gentle, fragrance free and removes all my make-up. For less than £4 it is an utter snip! Again taking advantage of the Superdrug own brand half price deal I purchased two of their face masks, I have yet to try them out but love that they come in tubes, have a wide range of masks for all skin types and even at full price cost less than £3 each.

Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Lacquer in 105 Petal Plush
Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Lacquer in 705 Blush Essence

Bought on a total whim, everyone and their Mother seems to be harping on about the new to the UK Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Lacquers and I simply had to get in on the action. I have to be honest in saying that so far I think they are very over hyped. Pretty enough and moisturising for what is essentially a lip gloss yet really over rated in my opinion.

Maybelline Color Show Mono Eyeshadow in Copper Fizz £4.99 - link
Maybelline Color Show Mono Eyeshadow in Lustrous Beige £5.49 - link

I really can not keep up with all the latest Maybelline launches as of late but if you like metallic eyeshadows you are in for a treat as there is two new lines of shimmering eyeshadows. Both are beautifully embossed and come in quite a large number of shades. I have yet to properly test them out but can say that Copper Fizz (clear packaging) is the most pigmented and that Lustrous Beige has an almost gel like quality. Full reviews of everything will of course follow in due course.

L'Oreal Perfect Match Concealer £6.99 - link
L'Oreal Le Blush in Rosewood £7.69 - link

Being a fan of L'Oreal True Match Foundation I thought I'd give the matching concealer a whirl, it is quite liquid like and reminds me a little of NARS Creamy Concealer. Obviously this is only my first impressions and I will update very soon. L'Oreal is such an underrated brand so with that in mind I thought I'd give a blush from the brand a whirl. L'Oreal Le Blush in Rosewood reminds me a lot of Benefit Dallas Blush and at £7.69 I'm hoping it wears well on my oily skin as it sure would save me some cash in the long run.

Essie Nail Lacquer in Ballet Slippers £7.99 - link

Essie Ballet Slippers is one of those polishes that I always say I will purchase and then never do. Well I finally caved, for me it is one of the shades that is super easy to wear and gives a lady like polished look with next to no effort.

And that is all folks, expect full reviews in the coming weeks...
