Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream

I have recently documented that my skin has been a little bizarre over the last month or so, prone to allergic reactions, redness and generally sensitive. The oiliness is still a problem but oddly I seem to go through phases of dehydration too - hardly the complexion I wish to have. Due to the sensitivity issue I have been less than keen to try out anything new as the last thing I want is fetching rash on my face. Yet I threw caution to the wind and gave Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream (what a mouthful huh?) a try and can happily say my skin is on the road to recovery.

For those worried that the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream will reek of mushrooms then rest assure it doesn't. The scent is difficult to put into words but I would say it is fairly light and herbal - it is not unpleasant and of course being a soothing product it does not irritate the skin. I'm afraid I do not have the ingredient line up for this particular product and an online search has been next to no help (A.K.A I'm in over my depth). I can state that due to the high antioxidant concentrate (Mushroom) that this in theory should help repair damaged skin as well as preventing future problems (i.e sun and pollution damage). What I can say is that Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream is free from Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.

Okay less of what I don't know and more of what I do, Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream has been formulated to hydrate, instantly calm the skin, reduces redness and sensitivity both now and in the future. Interestingly Origins claim that ageing is not simply the passage of time but can also be due to irritation. Food for thought? Anyway Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream is a thick yet quickly absorbed cream, it doesn't feel greasy nor does it leave behind any traces of residue. Admittedly I do think it may be a little too dense in texture for my skin when really oily but for all other skin types I don't see this being a problem. I should also mention that a little goes a long way. From the first application my skin felt instantly hydrated and oddly soothed. I first tested this after an allergic reaction and found that it calmed the irritation as well as moisturising. For redness I am afraid the results aren't quite so instant - it took a good fortnight before I noticed a difference but I will say that out of all the face creams I have tested this does reduce redness the best.

With Winter on the way I do think that the Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream is the perfect solution not only for dry and sensitive skin but also weather beaten skin. I may not be able to use this all year round but I do like that it does deliver what it promises and fairly quickly too.
