This week I actually wore a red lip thrice. Thrice! How very unlike me. Needless to say a nude pink lip and muted make-up were also on play but look at me coming out of my shell. In fairness I do feel more content in general than I have in a long while, maybe that is where the red lip confidence came from? Who knows. Anyway here is what I have been enjoying...
My scalp is forever itchy and easily irritated, apparently it dried out which I blame on hair bleach and dry shampoo. Enter Palmers Coconut Oil Formula Strong Roots, this light, leave in mist not only conditions the hair but also the scalp. I find it stops my scalp from being itchy or tight and the good news is that it does not leave a greasy residue on the roots or anywhere else for that matter. You can find it via Superdrug for a bargainous £3.14 - link.
Although I loathed the fragrance as a youngster I am slowly but surely becoming a Clinique Happy Eau de Parfum convert. I like that it is a bright, fruity floral that really does brighten the dullest of days. Basically it does what it says on the tin. You can find it here - link.
Almost daily I have been reaching for my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, three beautiful, soft focus powders that are perfect for a subtle dose of radiance to the face. Personally I use the shade Dim Light as a setting powder and Incandescent Light as a typical highlighter. I will be honest and say that Radiant Light doesn't get all that much use unless I combine it with another blush to create a dewy cheek. Easily my current favourite palette, you can find it via Net-A-Porter - link.
Speaking of blush, I have been living on the wild side and wearing pink blush. I never really thought I fully suited pink cheeks until the compliments came a flowing thanks to Tarte True Love Blush. A light, slightly red toned hue that compliments my skin tone and blonde hair. You can find it here via Sephora - link or sometimes via QVC UK.
As I said I have been rather digging a red lip and my weapon of choice has been Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso. A bright, true and almost vintage red that doesn't budge all day long. The only problem is that it is a little drying but other than that no complaints what so ever. You can find it here - link. Unsurprisingly my other most worn lipstick is again liquid and of course matte, I have spoke about the Sephora Cream Lip Stains (find it here - link) a good few times in the past and the love still runs deep. My personal favourite shade is 05 Infinte Rose which is a pinky come nude hue. I know everyone and their mothers claim that the Sephora Cream Lip Stains are the best matte liquid lipsticks ever. They are great but in my opinion identical in formula to the Collection Cream Puff Lip Creams, just sayin'!
I have been thrusting Epic Blend lip balms on to just about everyone. They truly are my favourite non-medicated lip balms ever and I mean that. I don't want to say too much as a full review of this new find will be live on the blog in a matter of hours but yeah you need at least one! You can find them here - link.
A quick cat eye has been all I have wanted all week long and at the moment my eyeliner of choice is MAC Penultimate Eyeliner. Admittedly not the most pigmented liquid liner out there but it is so easy to use and is the perfect shaped nib for my hooded eyes. You can find it here via Debenhams - link.
Lastly green nails? Yes really. You really need to try out Debroah Lippmann She Drives Me Crazy. It is the most beautiful bright green polish I have ever tried, it doesn't look garish and adds a little pep to my typically monochrome outfit choices. You can find it here - link.
What have you been enjoying lately?

Oh man, that coconut oil sounds super good. My scalp has been feeling itchy lately, so that sounds so nice for me.
ReplyDeleteI definitely will pick up the hair oil! I constantly seem to have an irritated scalp, probably due to bleaching in the past and dry shampoo. This seems like a great fix!
