Here in Glasgow it feels like Summer is well and truly over, the heavy rain and dull skies hint that Autumn could be here in a matter of days. Truth be told I'm not all that fussed as I'm not a fan of Summer unless on holiday. Anyway a weather woman I am not so let me share what I have been enjoying for the past week or so...

Typically speaking I prefer fruity fragrances and yet the past few days I have been enjoying Roger and Gallet Gingembre which as the name suggest is a ginger based scent. It is oddly fruity yet more-ish and lasts really well on my skin which I can't say for every fragrance I own. You can find Roger and Gallet Gingembre for £10.66 via Feel Unique - link.

The sun may have gone but I am still rocking a tan thanks to Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse, I love that it is cheap and cheerful not to mention as the name suggests it develops in an hour. It is a tinted mousse that shows you were you have applied it, preventing streaks and of course a patchy tan. It dries quickly and gives a lovely golden tan. At £5.32 via Superdrug - link, if you haven't tried it I recommend you do while it is on offer.

My hair is a mess at the moment, a dry mess so leave in conditioner and a deep conditioning mask is pretty much a necessity come shower time. I have tried lots of leave in conditioning sprays and as long as they help me to de-tangle I'm pretty much happy which is just what L'Occitane Revitalizing Fresh Detangling Spray (£18 - link) does. It is a light and beautifully scented mist that doesn't weigh my hair down and teamed with a tangle teezer it makes that post wash combing a whole lot easier. I found a tube of Philip Kingsley Elasticizer in my suitcase while emptying it and pretty much put it to test later that evening, I have used it lots of times in the past but it is one of those products I forget just how great it is until I rediscover it! The Philip Kingsley Elasticizer basically adds an abundance of moisture back into my damaged ends and leaves my hair feeling so much more nourished. I really need to purchase the huge salon size! You can find it here via Look Fantastic starting at £15  - link.

Make-up wise I have been a little boring on my lips it has mostly been Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick (£15 via Debenhams - link)in Native which is a light, milky pink nude. Admittedly not a great breaking shade but the nourishing formula is hard to beat. I have also been playing around with Barry M Loud Mouth Extreme Lip Colour in Screamer, a bright yet light coral which really compliments a tan. This glossy coral is so pigmented that it can be a little tough to remove. If you have wanted to try the OCC lip tars but couldn't justify the price this is a great alternative. You can find them via Boots for £3.99 each - link. Lastly I have a quick nod to Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in Sunkissed Cherry - a slightly warm, orange tinged coral gel blush that really does stay in place all day. It also blurs pores and looks flawless with no effort. At £4.49 you are really missing out if you haven't tried it - link.

I seldom paint my nails the same shade twice in a row and yet I have worn Estee Lauder Nail Lacquer in Pure Red all week. It is a classic bright red that doesn't look out of place on my small, stubby fingers (or nails for that matter) and doesn't seem to be all that chip prone - keeping in mind I very rarely use a top coat. Whoops! You can find it here (in full size) for £14 - link.

Before I crawl back into bed (I have some weird bug at the moment) I simply had to declare my love for Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil. This nifty light weigh oil not only gives my oily skin all the moisture it needs, balances my skin but it also helps keep my complexion clear. As you can see my bottle is nearly finished which I guess shows just how often I reach for this little bottle. If you have oily skin and want to discover the world of facial oils please begin with this one. You can Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil on offer via Escentual (£25 opposed to £32) - link.
