Last year one of NARS best selling NARS palettes was the neutral and somewhat dinky - NARS And God Created The Woman Eyeshadow Palette. If you missed out the good news is that it is currently on pre-order via Space.NK - link.
However if you already own it or simply fancy something a little newer NARS And God Created The Woman 2 Palette should also be on the way if the Sephora website is anything to go by. Currently you can not ship said palette via Sephora to the UK which isn't really anything new and normally hints that we will be getting the item a little later on in the year. Personally I would imagine it will be a Space.NK exclusive when it does land and if I was a betting woman (I'm not) I would imagine it will be around September/October before it does launch but I really am only guessing.
Enough about my guess work and what we do know to be fact!
Much like the original NARS And God Created The Woman Palette the second instalment contains six eyeshadows: Bellissima II, Kalahari, Night Clubbing, Alhambra l, Galapagos, Coconut Grove as well as a mini tube of NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and the #42 Wide Contour Eye Shadow Brush. Annoyingly the shades Alhambra, Kalahari, Galapagos and Coconut Grove feature in both palettes, this is something I find NARS terribly guilty of - most of their palettes feature the same shades on repeat. It is boring, predictable and will stop many of us from purchasing as most won't want repeat shades, especially if shade product is permanent.
On the plus side NARS And God Created The Woman 2 Palette does feature two lesser raved about neutrals.
You can see the NARS And God Created The Woman 2 Palette via Sephora here - link.
So agreed wrt: NARS repromoting shades constantly. Not going to lie, I think that's what's put me off buying anything from the brand (except one nail polish) - I constantly think about it and then it's like "... nah." I do love that they include primer and a brush in these sets though.
ReplyDeleteAlso, loving the font lately. Really easy to read. <3

I'm not too sure about this product, but it does look beautiful. Nars eyeshadows are all so beautiful and the shades are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely post :)

That's so disappointing, I love my Nars And God Created The Woman palette so when I saw the title of this post I was really excited, I'm gutted to see it contains some of the same shades as the original.

I don't see the point in this palette when it only has two different shades, I don't think I'll be buying xx

I agree about the shades! I looked at the 'part 2' palette and it looks exactly the same!

Wow just saying I would've liked to see the product (that sounded annoying but I honestly do really want to see it and if your lazy like me and cant be bothered clicking on a single link then....) I loved the blog and I totally agree with you about the Nars thing they just sell the same things but repackaged... :(
ReplyDeleteoh i have a few nars products as my all time favourites sot hats a shame to hear about the palettes.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly I just want everything Nars so this is definitely a must have x

I'm still intrigued as it is Nars...but its annoying it contains the same shades. Guess they just rely on people like me to buy it who love anything Nars!

I wanted the original so much, but this one coming with the brush and primer makes me think I'll be picking this one up instead!

The original came with a brush and primer too.
DeleteThat's such a shame about the repeat-colors! D:

It usually drives me nuts when they repromote shades, but i use the first one all the time, and was contemplating purchasing a backup, but with number 2 containing my favourite shades plus a few different ones its looking like a better option which is great! Totally makes it more justifiable in my head lmao!
ReplyDeleteIs it an omission that we do not see the inside of the palette? That would have been cool LOL.
ReplyDeleteActually, upon doing slightly more research and checking my own palette, the second palette contains all six the same shadows as the first. they are just rearranged. The only difference in the two sets is that the original set contains the number 3 shading brush. So this set is for those who don't have/ don't want number one, not a new set at all.
ReplyDeleteLove the name of this palette! Although reading the comments it seems it's just pretty much the same palette as the first one, which is a little bit weird xxx

I got super excited about this palette but if Alhambra, Kalahari, Galapagos and Coconut Grove feature in both, I'm definitely passing! Too bad NARS couldn't come up with something entirely different the second time around...
