Garnier Miracle Skin Cream Review

I'll level and admit that I purchased both of the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream's in an act of spontaneity. Superdrug had both items on promotion and big, flashy signs will suck a gal in.
You know the saying a fool and their money is easily parted. Well I am said fool because had I read the blurb for either product I'd have realised that neither product was really suited to my skin care needs. None the less I gave both products a whirl and have to say I'm not really blown away.

The thing I didn't initially pick up on is that this face cream is tinted, it contains micro-pigments to gently tint the skin for an even skin tone. I will be honest in saying that if you have a really pale skin tone this will be too orange for you. I have nothing against tinted moisturisers - I tend to rely on them when on holiday in humid conditions but really bought the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream to use as a night cream. That idea of course went out the window once I realised it was tinted, that would essentially be sleeping with make-up on? Anyway personal woes aside the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream is a thick but gel like consistency that does absorb fairly quickly into the skin, tinting as it goes. On the skin it feels cooling and really hydrating, as most will know I have oily skin and I didn't find this overwhelming in the slightest. Immediately my skin felt plump and I will admit that although I don't like the fact this is tinted it did leave my skin tone looking even with next to no effort and the addition of SPF20 is not too shabby. The other downside is that is heavily fragranced so not ideal for sensitive skin types, it has a floral scent that lingers all day long and is rather annoying if I am honest. Garnier do state that with continued use that this can improve age spots, blur fine lines and wrinkles as well as generally improving ageing skin. I'm not at that stage of my life yet so even if I did continue to use this an update would be useless from me. My mum on the other hand really likes the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream, it is a quick and easy way to even out her skin tone, get a little SPF and moisturise in one step.

Garnier Miracle Skin Eye Cream £8.66 via Superdrug - link
Oddly I love this, so one hit and one miss!
This eye cream is soft, silky and quickly absorbed, for a moment let's forget that this is targeted at the anti-ageing market and enjoy the fact that this eye cream also illuminates the under eye area and hides dark circles instantly. If like myself you are a fan of highlighting your under eye area and sometimes find that on certain days i.e after a sleepless night that is easier said than done, this is your new secret weapon. Garnier Miracle Skin Eye Cream does nourish and hydrate the under eye area without being heavy or greasy, it quickly settles into the skin and is perfect for applying make-up on top off. I like that it somewhat conceals which is due to a little pigment (the exact same colour as the cream above only easier to blend out) and like I said you also have the bonus of this being an anti-ageing eye cream. It illuminates without the need for shimmer particles and always looks fresh. As you can see I am really struggling to properly sum up this eye cream - all you need to know is that it can help with fine lines et al but its strength lies in its brightening qualities. At under £10 even when not on offer you really have to try this out if you struggle with dark circles or just like a bright, eyed and bushy tailed look.
