The Daily Beauty Report (11.07.14)

The Daily Beauty Report (11.07.14)

Before we kick start the weekend let me share some snippets of beauty news...

Now for the first fragrance of the day "Calvin Klein Fragrances has today unveiled new women's fragranceREVEAL and announced British actor Charlie Hunnam and Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes will be featured in the new worldwide advertising campaign. Introduced this month, the print advertising campaign was shot by renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who collaborated with creative director Doug Lloyd of Lloyd & Co. Launching this September, the new oriental fragrance will be available nationwide."

A new DKNY scent will launch this coming August (5th) which Rita Ora fronts. "DKNY has announced the launch of new fragrance MYNY. Inspired by vibrancy of New York City, the women's scent is contained in a heart shaped bottle and comprises top notes of raspberries, galbanum, spiked with accents of pink pepper, middle notes of Egyptian jasmine, freesia and orris, while patchouli, vanilla absolu, musk and ambergris are at the base. British singer Rita Ora is the face of MYNY and features in the new campaign directed and shot by Francesco Carrozzini."

Oh my goodness! Can someone please take me to New York just to visit the new Birchbox store please? Jokes aside if you are in NYC any time soon be sure to pop along to the newly opened Birchbox store in Manhattan! "Beauty ecommerce company Birchbox has announced the opening of its first ever store. Situated in Manhattan, New York, the Birchbox store leverages the insights and feedback gathered since the company’s launch in 2010, from its more than 800,000 active global subscribers, to create a customer-first, holistic offline shopping experience. The store offers a curated product assortment featuring 2,000 products from 250 brands including Smashbox, Caudalie, Jouer, Supergoop!, Cynthia Rowley, Baxter of California, Lab Series and Art of Shaving. There is also a 'Try Bar' where customers can experiment with different beauty trends and a dedicated B.Y.O.B. Build Your Own Birchbox section where shoppers can hand-pick sample size products of their choice. There are beauty services available by appointment and editorial content, videos and product reviews feature throughout the shop." Isn't this such a cool concept?

The Blackhead Clearing Gel is an oil-free, light-weight gel that gently exfoliates and harnesses the natural witch hazel extract to clear and contract pores. Massaging the gel into the skin gently lifts dead skin cells, boosting the skin's natural radiance. The new Bursting Beads Face Wash, ideal for oily and combination skin, contains bursting beads that release witch hazel to leave skin feeling cool and refreshed; it also naturally tones, removes excess oils and helps tackle the cause of spots."
