The Library of Fragrance

Here is what is happening in the beauty world at the moment...

Two new products from Fake Bake "Fake Bake - new 5 Minute Mousse Self-Tan (£19.99) contains a quick-dry, non-transfer formula that provides an instant deep coloured tan. Fake Bake Amplify (£18) is a new daily gradual tanner which contains an active plant-based ingredient that increases the skin's melanin production, and gradual tanners that give skin a rich golden glow. The product is creamy but light and works to hydrate the skin leaving a skin perfecting veil that blurs minor imperfections". Fake it, don't bake it this Summer!

2015 may seem like a long way off but the beauty world sure does move quickly! "Beauty brand Lancôme has announced French model and music producer Caroline de Maigret as its Parisian muse. The collaboration will begin in September by accompanying Caroline as she travels all over the world for her book release, How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are: Love, Style, and Bad Habits. The book, co-written by Caroline, writer Anne Berest, journalist, screenwriter and director Audrey Diwan and film producer Sophie Mas, is an illustrated codebook about the well-being and self-confidence behind the style of Parisian women. The collaboration will also see the creation and development of an original make-up collection, which will launch in 2015."

My new favourite nail brand have so many new products in the pipe line but the new gel nail wraps have me more than intrigued. Anything that is quick, easy and ensures my nails will be chip free have my vote! "KISS - Gel Dress (£5.99) offers an instant peel-off strips that last up to two weeks, available in a new range of colours and patterns. New KISS Complete Care Treatments Systems (£7.99) are four convenient all-in-one nail treatment systems available in Care, Repair, Strengthening and Growth variations. Each system comes with a three-part care routine with new breathable technology." You can find both products at Superdrug.

I adore Versace Yellow Diamond so an intense version for say evening wear could well join my collection (okay will once I hit Duty Free). It should be very similar if not identical to the original version but more intense and notes are said to include orange blossom, freesia, jasmine and osmanthus, to name a few.

Another new fragrance to look forward to is Roberto Cavalli Just Cavalli Gold for Her which is said to include notes of hazelnut, mandarin, jasmine, woody orris and marshmallow. It sounds fairly unusual but I trust it will be lovely as I have yet to be let down with this brand as far as fragrance goes.

I have saved the best news until last (I blogged about this unusual fragrance house over a year ago so now I am pretty much elated!). "The Library of Fragrance, which is known as Demeter Fragrance Library in the USA, has announced its launch into the UK. Originally founded in 1996 with a capsule collection of three scents (Grass, Tomato and Dirt), the brand has evolved to offer over 100 different fragrances; ranging from classics such as Jasmine and Fresh Ginger to Pure Soap, Gin & Tonic, Fireplace and Thunderstorm. The brand will launch exclusively to Boots nationwide from mid-September." Bye, bye savings!

Have a lovely evening everyone!
