Hurrah for a long weekend!
I never feel as guilty having a lie in or skipping the gym on a long weekend as I do any other time or the year.
Any way here is what I have been enjoying for the last week or so...
It could be the fact that I have just bought a swish new bathroom soap dish but I have went a little nutty over hand soap recently. Yes really. I was lucky enough to be sent a selection of Elfen Soaps not so long ago and fully recommend the dreamy Almond and Pistachio Blend. It is soft, creamy and reminds me of warm milk before bed as a child. If you like hand soaps I do recommend checking out Elfen Soaps on Etsy - link.
I know technically we are in Spring and I should be wearing a lighter fragrance but I can't quite ditch Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDT. It's deep and borderline sexy and I know I have said it before but it smells delicious worn with leather - think leather jackets not Ann Summers ha! My signature fragrance is of course Alien by Thierry Mugler but I would say that Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDT comes a close second. You need to try it! Find it here via House of Fraser - link.
When you think of luxury cosmetics I'm almost certain most of us will hone in on Tom Ford? Yes? At the moment I have found myself wearing Tom Ford's Lip Color Sheer in Sweet Spot which is easily one of the easiest to wear coral lipsticks I own. It is bright but not in your face and works well both with a tan and without. What I like most about it is that I can quickly slick it on for a sheer finish for everyday wear or apply a second coat for full impact without it feeling heavy on my lips. I can see this quickly becoming a firm favourite this summer, I may just splurge and pick up another few shades in the coming weeks. You can find the Tom Ford Lip Colour Sheer's via Selfridges - link.
To know me is to know that I am obsessed with grape soda and any lip product that reminds me of such sweet treat is a-okay in my book and the reason I have Maybelline Baby Lips in Grape Vine in my jacket pocket. Annoyingly this is one of the scent/flavour options that didn't make it to the UK but you can find the other six options via Superdrug - link.
My other budget must have for the week is also by Maybelline - Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara. This is my everyday eyebrow product that I quickly brush on my brows to run errands but if I am going to be out all day I will layer it over Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil to ensure my brows stay in place. If you are a fan of natural but groomed brows I do recommend giving this brow mascara a whirl, I just hope they launch a more expansive colour range in the future. You can find it via Boots - link.
Lastly we have La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + which I tend to dig out when my skin is playing up which has been the last few days or so. I link how this light weight treatment de-congests my skin without being too harsh and it also keeps oil at bay. For a more in depth review you can click here - link.
What have you been enjoying lately?
