The Daily Beauty Report (02.05.14)

Before we all log off and enjoy the long bank holiday weekend (hallelujah) let me share a few snippets of beauty news...
One of my favourite skin care brands Aurelia will be launching two new products: Firm & Revitalise Dry Body Oil (£48), a nourishing yet delicate dry body and Refine & Polish Miracle Balm (£57), a double-action, multi-use enzyme polish that works to transform and brighten dull, rough, congested and lacklustre complexions.

Bobbi Brown have now launched their Art Sticks which are essentially a lip liner and lipstick in one. The texture is unbelievable and all of the shades are as close to universally flattering as I have seen in a long while. I will review in full soon but until then you can find them via Selfridges (to whom they are exclusive to) - link.

This coming June Origins will launch their Modern Friction Instant Brightening Pads - " a natural alternative to chemical peels. The textured one-step, easy-to-use pads are specifically formulated to improve skin's texture, tone and clarity. The gentle, non-irritating formula loosens stubborn surface cells, smoothing the skin and restoring vibrancy. The new pads contain an essential oil blend of lime, grapefruit and lemongrass coupled with spearmint, clary sage, geranium, lavender and thyme; as well as a rice exfoliating complex comprised of fruit acids and rice brand extract and aloe comforting complex to condition and comfort skin." I will need to purchase these as soon as they launch!

It all seems to be happening in June "Eco-luxury skincare brand Bodhi has announced its re-brand as Bodhi & Birch. The range of products are designed to stimulate the regeneration of healthy skin, while maintaining it. The facial skincare revives the complexion, instantly transforming skin and leaving it with a nourishing glow; while the bath and shower therapies gently cleanse without stripping skin of natural oils. The body moisturisers and oils intensely hydrate to leave skin nourished. Key ingredients include anti-ageing lactic acid and alpha-hydroxy acid which stimulate collagen production and increases skin cell renewal."

Two new luxurious fragrances will join the Dolce and Gabanna Velvet fragrance line up this month - Velvet Rose and Velvet Bergamont. The idea behind the entire range is that each fragrance is inspired by an emotion.

If you are a fan of the Dior Addict fragrance line you may be please to know that an EDT version is on the way which is said to be lighter and perfect for day/office wear. I have yet to smell it but the notes mandarin, jasmine, neroli, vanilla and sandalwood sound intriguing.

Have a lovely long weekend everyone!
