Another day, another shine busting product!
My first ever pore/oil reducing product was of course Benefit's Porefessional which is a primer come mattifying product all neatly rolled into one. Although the primer no longer suits my needs the Benefit The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine Powder, which is a spin off from the original Porefessional called my name in more ways than one...
Benefit do quirky packaging like no other and the Benefit The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine does not disappoint. Loose powders are notoriously difficult to transport around so I have to hand it to Benefit for creating such clever packaging - this is the only loose powder product I would ever consider using on the go. Benefit The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine is presented in a shaker style bottle (it reminds me somewhat of salt and pepper shakers), at one end you have a sifter which disperses a small amount of product and hidden away in the base is a travel sized brush. The idea is that you tap the powder into the lid, remove the brush and hey presto, all the benefits (excuse the pun) of a loose powder with none of the mess. As I said very clever.
Much like the primer of a similar name Benefit The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine has been created to instantly reduce shine, blur imperfections such as pores as well as helping set make-up. A 3-in-1 product if you will some of which it does better than others. The powder itself is slightly but once applied it quickly becomes invisible and is entirely suitable for all skin tones. As many will know my two main skin care complaints are excess oil and enlarged pores which this powder caters to rather well. I found that one quick application over foundation significantly reduced the appearance of my pores and left any area it was applied to looking matte but soft at the same time. As the primer from the same line is a little heavy and silicone based I expected the same thing from this powder but found it to be rather lightweight and comfortable to wear. Truthfully I wouldn't recommend Benefit The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine as a setting powder as it doesn't keep the excess oil at bay quite as long as I'd like - rather I recommend it as a finishing step to be applied only where needed. Although not the best at keeping my skin matte it does come in handy for a quick touch up on the go and teamed with my regular setting powder I can happily state that my pores have never looked smaller. If you have pesky enlarged pores and want a quick fix this is certainly worth adding to your daily routine and works as good if not better than any other pore filler out there!

Still very tempted to try it out anyway
