The newest Benefit tint - Benefit Lollitint Cheek and Lip Tint has taken the beauty world by storm and rightly so too. If you are on the look out for a orchid toned lip and cheek product that is long lasting and perfect for the Spring/Summer then this is for you...
Much like the other liquid products within the Benefit product line up this comes neatly presented in a small
screw top bottle with a build in brush which happens to be the lid...it's pretty akin in style to a nail polish
all be it an oversized version! Such brush found within Benefit's liquid products is perfect for dotting on
the product before blending out and truthfully the bronze minimises waste and staining other brushes within your collection.
Benefit Lollitint Cheek and Lip Tint is described as an orchid pink, before blended out it is a milky pink tinged lilac which becomes more pink on the skin as it stains. I have seen this on many skin tones and lips and the truth is it really depends on your complexion - no two results tend to be the same and I rather like that. On my skin tone it becomes a bright almost candy pink that works best on my cheeks, I personally don't like to wear the tints on the lips (I'm holding out for the new Benefit Tinted Lip Balms) as I find the end result to be a little flat. That I am very aware of the texture on my lips and find it to be drying and uncomfortable. I have friends that do enjoy the Benefit Cheek and Lip Tints on their lips and say the best way to wear them is to combine it with a layer of gloss or balm for added hydration.
As with all Benefit Cheek and Lip Tints the consistency is a thick almost balm like texture which you should apply with a less is more approach. I tend to dot it on to the cheeks and blend using patting motions into the skin with my fingertips. I warn you now you must work quickly as Benefit aren't kidding when they say their tints stain (see above photo). Yes you do have to blend with urgency but rest assure once set Benefit Lollitint will not budge all day long even on the oiliest of skin. The great thing about all the Benefit Cheek and Lip Tints is that they contain no shimmer or glitter particles meaning they don't highlight enlarged pores or any other skin fault. Rather they provide a sheer but pigmented tint to the skin which looks natural with a healthy glow - not completely matte but utterly flattering. As mentioned Benefit Lollitint Cheek and Lip Tint wears wonderfully well (it almost attaches to the skin) and will easily stay put on skin for up to 10 hours at the very least. I do wonder if it would survive a dip in the pool...
